☹️ if only I could cancel and rebook my flight so I could save 8000 points without paying $50
No brainer to pay $50 for 8,000 points.
i would reccomend you call in to customer service and tel them you wanna cancel , they might rebook it for you for free , tell them you didnt know abouy the companion,
i know someone who did it few weeks ago
Anyone have luck getting a rep too combine with companion discount
Try and let us know.
I have tried multiple times to ask them for companion discount, and all the reps said that the companion discount is a benefit for the virgin cardholders. I know people say they have used it without having the credit card, and I even spoke to someone who said he had this, but for me it never works, and I don’t understand why it should work if this is a cardholder benefit. anyone has an explanation?
Too get the second ticket free is only for cardholders who spend 25k for 50 percent off its for any member i have done multiple companion bookings this past week if any rep says they are not aware of it just say confidently you have done it and go ask your supervisor that should work
And how does it work, every second person on the booking gets 50% points off? does the flying club member need to fly on that booking? and do you pay full fuel surcharges?
I did this and had to pay full fuel surcharges.
Yes too all 3 questions
just got this done BH
Would this work for an Israel ticket to Israel for succos
Yes I booked round trip tickets
Only the way there. The sale fly by date is the 1st day of succos
Virgin will allow one to transfer points from one account to another without any fees if it is the exact amount you need to book a flight sounds crazy but I just did it this week successfully they said they only charge to transfer without intending to book right then
booked two adult and one infant tickets on single reservation last week for 46k points plus taxes. virgin wants $150 total (50 per ticket!) to cancel. any ideas of how I can get them to waive so I can rebook at lower mileage (and maybe even try for companion) ?

Anyway to use more points to offset the fees?
No
real sweet spot is ex. tlv, any other notable locations with low yq?
Any reason why the fuel surcharge is less in Premium than Economy when booking TLV to JFK. I have always noticed this, and could never figure out why.
I am only seeing 73,200 for tlv to jfk not 61,200 as was posted above. Am I missing something?
You are looking at “peak dates”
I am only seeing upper class for tlv to jfk 73,200 instead of 61,200 as stated above am I mising something
You are looking at “peak dates”
Is it worth paying $50 to cancel and rebook my flight to save 17,300 points BUT I’d change aircraft from an a330 neo to a350 1000?

You can now buy virgin points with 70% bonus until July 31, that is a rate of about 1.15, not bad to combine with this sale
How do we buy virgin points at 70 percent discount?
You need an English account I think to get the 70% bonus for the above rate. American accounts have a 60% bonus but pay more for each point
Ends today?
Ended yesterday, I didn’t realize it was a sale and I didn’t book yesterday came back today to book and boom the price increased
