It is unknown how long this offer will last for.
The previous signup bonus offers on this card have been 40K, 50K, 60K, and a previous record high 80K points for spending $4,000 in 3 months.
Chase typically will not match Sapphire card offers if you signed up with a lower offer, but it can’t hurt to ask!
Also available is a 60,000 point offer on the Sapphire Reserve card, but you will be better off applying for this card and converting it to a Reserve card down the line.

Sapphire Preferred annual fee
There is a $95 annual fee for the primary card and no annual fee for additional cardholders.
Sapphire Preferred signup bonus terms
If you received your last Sapphire bonus on today’s date in 2017 or earlier, you are now eligible to earn another Sapphire bonus!
- You won’t get approved for this card if you have received a signup bonus on Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, or Sapphire card within the past 48 months. You can call Chase to find out when you last earned a bonus on those cards or you can pull up your old statements online to check when you last got a bonus. You can also send Chase a secure message with your old card number to ask when you got the signup bonus on it.
- You won’t get approved for this card if you currently have an active Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, or Sapphire card. However you can call Chase to change those cards to a Freedom Unlimited or Freedom Flex card, wait 2-4 days, and then apply for a Sapphire Preferred card! You can keep them as Freedom cards to help build your Quinfecta or you can upgrade back again if you still want a Sapphire Reserve.
- You can apply and Chase won’t pull your credit or approve you if you are not eligible to get the card bonus.
- You will get the bonus for this card even if you are an authorized user on another person’s Sapphire card.
- If you are approved, that means you will get the bonus for this card as long as you spend $4,000 in 3 months.
All Chase cards appear to be subject to 5/24 restrictions, meaning that you are not likely to be approved if you have been approved for 5 or more consumer credit cards in the past 24 months. Note that the Chase system automatically counts cards like authorized user cards and store cards as cards that count towards 5/24, but if you explain to Chase that those cards are merely authorized user cards or store cards they can manually approve you for a new card.
You can check your credit report for free at the federally authorized annualcreditreport.com to check how many accounts are shows as being open in the past 24 months.
New: Sapphire Preferred annual hotel credit
Get a $50 annual hotel credit every cardmembership year as a statement credit when you book any hotel through the Ultimate Rewards portal starting with your account open date anniversary after 8/15/21.
New Sapphire Preferred cardholders as of 8/16 can use this credit immediately!
Existing customers can use it after their next card anniversary. You can find your anniversary date for this benefit by logging into your Sapphire Preferred card here.
New: Sapphire Preferred anniversary bonus
Get a 10% anniversary points bonus on all spending starting on 8/15/21. For example if you spend $20K on your card in a cardmembership year, you’ll get a 2,000 point bonus.
The bonus does not apply to the signup bonus or bonus point categories, it only applies to the 1 point per dollar base spending.
It has been 7 years since this card last offered an anniversary point bonus and it’s great to see it return!
New: Sapphire Preferred card earnings
- 5 points per dollar on all travel booked through the Ultimate Rewards portal (Effectively 5.1 points with anniversary bonus).
- 2 points per dollar on travel (Effectively 2.1 points with anniversary bonus), including airfare, hotels, car rentals, cruises, subways, trains, taxis, tolls, parking, Airbnb, Uber, etc.
- 3 points per dollar on dining (Effectively 3.1 points with anniversary bonus).
- 3 points per dollar on select streaming (Effectively 3.1 points with anniversary bonus). Include Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Netflix, Sling, Vudu, Fubo TV, Apple Music, SiriusXM, Pandora, Spotify and YouTube TV.
- 3 points per dollar on online grocery shopping (Effectively 3.1 points with anniversary bonus) excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs. The online grocery category includes purchases for grocery pickup and delivery that are placed online with grocery stores, specialty food stores, or delivery service merchants that classify as grocery store merchants such as Instacart (excluding membership and subscription fees). Meal kit delivery services are included in this category.
- 5 points per dollar on Lyft spending through 3/31/22. (Effectively 5.1 points with anniversary bonus)
- 1 point per dollar elsewhere (Effectively 1.1 points with anniversary bonus).
- There are no foreign transaction fees.
Previously there was no reason to spend on a Sapphire Preferred over a Sapphire Reserve. Now, dining purchases (3.1x vs 3x), streaming purchases (3.1x vs 1x), online grocery purchases (3.1x vs 1x), airfare booked via the Ultimate Rewards portal (5.1x vs 5x), and everyday purchases (1.1x vs 1x) will be more rewarding on Sapphire Preferred over Sapphire Reserve!
Sapphire Preferred spend threshold
You’ll need to spend $4,000 on this card within 3 months.
You can pay your federal taxes for a 1.96% fee. If you overpay your taxes you can request a refund or apply it to your next year’s taxes.
My local natural gas company allows me to prepay up to $1,000 on a credit card for a $1.65 flat fee. That’s a great way to earn miles and help meet a spend threshold. My electricity supplier allows me to pay with a credit card for free as long as I am enrolled in autopay.
Sapphire Preferred card benefits
- Primary rental car CDW insurance in every country.
- Trip Cancellation/Trip Interruption Insurance
- Lost Luggage Insurance
- Trip Delay Reimbursement
- Baggage Delay Reimbursement
- Travel Accident Insurance
- Purchase protection for items damaged or stolen within 120 days
Peloton credit and bonus points
Charge your Peloton membership fee to your Sapphire Preferred card and you’ll automatically get $60 back through 12/31/21.
Make a Peloton purchase of $1,800+ and earn 5 points per dollar spent through 3/31/22!
Increased points value
If you or someone in your household has a Sapphire Preferred card you can redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned from any card at a value of 1.25 cents towards paid travel.
If you or someone in your household has a Sapphire Reserve card you can redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned from any card at a value of 1.5 cents towards paid travel.
Pay yourself back
Back in May, Chase added the ability to pay yourself back and redeem your Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve Ultimate Rewards points to offset any dining, grocery store, or home improvement purchases at a rate of 1.25 or 1.5 cents per point through 9/30. They also added select charities to the program, which you can offset your donation with points.
Chase has extended those categories through 9/30/21 and tells me that Pay Yourself Back will be a permanent feature of the Ultimate Rewards program, and that they will add more cards and categories for the program in the future. This adds a ton of value to the Ultimate Rewards program as you can buy anything from those stores, even gift cards to other stores, and make them free by redeeming points at a value of 1.25 or 1.5 cents each. The ability to get that kind of value from your points even when you’re not traveling is outstanding.
A great feature of the program is that you keep the original points that the purchase earned, even though you paid yourself back for the purchase. That means your points will be worth more than 1.25 or 1.5 cents each!
In other words, if you spend $300 on dining or online groceries on Sapphire Preferred, you can use 24,000 points to offset that purchase and make it free. Plus, you’ll still earn the 930 points for dining or online groceries, so you effectively used 23,070 points to offset the purchase. That means your points were actually worth 1.3 cents each!
If you spend $300 on dining on Sapphire Reserve, you can use 20,000 points to offset that purchase and make it free. Plus, you’ll still earn the 900 points for dining, so you effectively used 19,100 points to offset the purchase. That means your points were actually worth 1.57 cents each!
Airline and hotel transferability
If you or someone in your household has a Sapphire Preferred card you can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points into valuable airline and hotel mileage currencies.
You can call Chase to convert this card or any of the following cards into another card from this list:
- Chase Sapphire Preferred Card ($95 annual fee)
- Chase Sapphire Reserve Card ($550 annual fee)
- Chase Freedom Unlimited Card ($0 annual fee)
- Chase Freedom Card ($0 annual fee)
- Chase Freedom Flex Mastercard ($0 annual fee)
Note that some reps will only allow card conversions after you have had the card for 12 months.
If you or someone in your household has a Sapphire Reserve, then your points will be worth at least 1.5 cents towards travel!
If you want to get a Sapphire Reserve, your best path is to apply for the Sapphire Preferred card and then convert it to a Sapphire Reserve as you’ll get 100,000 signup bonus points instead of 60,000 points!
Stacking multiple Ultimate Rewards cards together can supercharge your earnings by getting you more points per dollar while increasing the value of all your points.
Read more about this strategy in depth in this post.
A Chase Bifecta would consist of a household that has the Sapphire Preferred or Sapphire Reserve and the Freedom Unlimited. The total effective annual fees would be either $95 with Sapphire Preferred or $250 with Sapphire Reserve after accounting for that card’s $300 annual travel credit. With the Sapphire Preferred+Freedom Unlimited you would earn 1.5 points per dollar everywhere, 2.1 points per dollar on all travel, 3 points per dollar on drugstores, 3.1 points per dollar on dining, streaming, and online grocery shopping, and 5.1 points per dollar on travel booked via Chase. You’ll be able to transfer all of your points into airline miles or hotel points or use the pay yourself back feature. Read more about Freedom Unlimited here.
A Chase Trifecta adds a no annual fee card like Ink Cash or Chase Freedom Flex into the mix, so your total effective annual fee will still be $95 or $250. Both of those cards give options to earn a whopping 5 points per dollar in various categories on top of the 2-3 points per dollar that the Sapphire cards offer and the 1.5-5 points per dollar everywhere else with a Freedom Unlimited card. Read more about Freedom Flex here and read more about Ink Cash here.
A Chase Quadfecta would add both the Ink Cash and Chase Freedom Flex on top of a Sapphire card and an Unlimited card, so your total effective annual fee will still be just $95 or $250. The Quadfecta is the sweet spot and allows you to really supercharge your spending everywhere.
A Chase Quinfecta could add the Ink Preferred to that mix, adding $95 to the annual fee total. This make sense if you spend money on shipping, social media advertising, or search engine advertising, or if you want free cell phone insurance.
Alternatively, you can create a Chase Quinfecta by adding the Chase United Explorer card, Chase United Gateway Card, Chase United Quest Card, or Chase United Business Card into the mix. Those cards don’t earn Ultimate Rewards points, but it makes your Ultimate Rewards points more valuable. Having a United card enables you to have access to significantly expanded United saver and standard award space in addition to benefits like 2 free club passes, a free checked bag, a free carry-on bag, and priority boarding, even when you’re on a basic economy fare. See more about those benefits here.
Again, all of these cards don’t need to be in one person’s name. 2 people from the same household can split up the requisite cards that make up the Quinfecta, as they can transfer the Ultimate Rewards points back and forth between themselves freely and they can add each other as an authorized user on their cards!
DoorDash DashPass Membership
DoorDash DashPass allows you to get free delivery and lower service fees on $12+ orders from select restaurants that have a blue checkmark. There are also lots of promotions and free food offers available to DashPass members.
DashPass normally costs $9.99/month.
If you add your Chase Sapphire Preferred card to your Doordash account and open the Doordash app, you can enroll for free through 12/31/21!
Airline transfer partners
You can transfer points at a 1:1 ratio to:
- United (Star Alliance)
- Air Canada Aeroplan (Star Alliance)
- Singapore (Star Alliance)
- Air France/KLM Flying Blue (Skyteam)
- British Airways (OneWorld)
- Aer Lingus (OneWorld)
- Iberia (OneWorld)
- Virgin Atlantic
Hotel transfer partners
You can transfer points at a 1:1 ratio to:
The great thing about Chase Ultimate Rewards is how versatile and valuable they are
The Sapphire Preferred card allows you and anyone in your household to transfer Chase points into miles. They also allow you to use points at a value of 1.25 cents each towards travel.
The Sapphire Reserve also allows you and anyone in your household to transfer Chase points into miles. Plus it allows you to use points at a value of 1.5 cents each towards travel.
The fixed value is excellent and doesn’t require hunting down award space, but those points can be much more valuable by transferring them into airline miles or hotel points.
- If I want to stay in a 5 star Park Hyatt in the Maldives, Melbourne, NYC, Paris, Sydney, or Tokyo that would cost over $1,000/night, I can instantly transfer 25-30K points to Hyatt to do that, a value of up to 6 cents per point.
- If I need a one-way flight from Cleveland (or Chicago, Detroit, Miami, Montreal, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Toronto, etc) to NYC that can cost $500 each way, I can instantly transfer 7.5K points to British Airways to book a short-haul on American with no last minute booking fees. Or if American doesn’t have availability I can instantly transfer 10K points to United for their short-haul award. That’s a value of up to 7 cents per point.
- Air Canada offers one-way short haul awards for just 6K miles. You can also get stopover awards for 5K miles, build round-the-world awards, and get free lap child awards in the US/Canada and bring lap children to anywhere else in the world for just C$25!
- If I want to stay in a non-chain hotel that costs $300/night and don’t want to pay cash, I can redeem 20K points for the room thanks to my Sapphire Reserve card’s minimum redemption value of 1.5 cents per point or 24K points with the Sapphire Preferred card’s minimum redemption value of 1.25 cents per point
- If I want to fly in a $25,000 ANA First Class Suite round-trip from the US to Tokyo, I can instantly transfer 110K or 120K points to Virgin Atlantic. That’s a value of up to 23 cents per point. You can now redeem one-way awards for half the price as well!
- If I want to book a $2,281 business class ticket on Air Canada to Tel Aviv I can redeem 152K points for the flight thanks to my Sapphire Reserve card’s minimum redemption value of 1.5 cents per point or 182K points with the Sapphire Preferred card’s minimum redemption value of 1.25 cents per point, plus I’ll earn Qantas miles for more future travel as it’s considered a paid flight instead of an award flight.
- And thousands of other possibilities from Singapore couples suites to booking Southwest awards with 2 free bags and free cancellations, to stealing 2nd base in middle of an MLB game.

For current card holders of over a year when can they use the hotel credit ?
“Get a $50 annual hotel credit as a statement credit when you book any hotel through the Ultimate Rewards portal starting with your account open date anniversary after 8/15/21.“
$50 Annual Credit on hotel stays purchased through Ultimate Rewards. New cardmembers will start earning towards the credit immediately and existing cardmembers will start earning after their next account anniversary.
Does the $50 credit apply even when booked with UR?
If my spouse got this card and I add myself as an authorized user I will get an additional 100,000 points and the new sign up bonuses? Or I should apply for my own card?
No, you need to apply for your own card to get your own 100,000 points bonus.
Is the Sapphire Preferred anniversary bonus only for the new applicants, or will all existing cardholders get this as well?
Everyone will get it, starting with spending on 8/16/21.
Think my card said I needed to wait until next anniversary because I got card last month.
That’s for the hotel credit.
Does the Sapphire reserve also have the new benefits? Otherwise, is the SP a better product/ outweighs the SR 1.5 redemption?
Tough call as 1.5 is still a valuable perk.
I got emails from chase explaining my new benefits including $50 hotel. I signed up fee months ago and I don’t see on email saying only for new customers
You will get it, after your next account open anniversary date.
What if we downgrade and upgrade?
too bad they not matching hotel credit for those approved a week ago
I wrote a week ago to wait until now to apply.
The should’ve made grocery offline as well and we’d have a real contender to amex gold and Citi premier. For now I’m sticking with those
Good reason to keep the Citi Premier and CSP.
I want to get it for my college student kid, what minimum income would she need to qualify?
I would include all household income.
My college student son applied in June and put in family income and got denied due to no credit cards of his own. He is on 5-6 of my cards. His credit score is in the 800’s. The letter said due to lack of credit history and not enough money in his chase bank account. So he than applied for a freedom reserve and received that with only $1000 credit line. So far its been to billing cycles. He also moved $10,000 from another bank to his Chase checking. Is it too early to reapply? He now has 2 chase pulls on his credit history.
Is it too early for my son to apply? Don’t want to waste another credit pull.
Dan, do you know if I can get the bonus points, consolidate the points with my other chase cards and then cancel the new card without losing the bonus points?
You can, but it’s good practice to keep new cards for at least 12 months.
Plus, you should downgrade instead of cancelling.
Are you sure that an authorized user would get the signup bonus? (Beacause I just spoke with two Chase agents and they both said there is no signup bonus)
Never trust an agent in any field over actual experience.
i think dan missunderstood your question… itherised users do NOT get the bonus
OK, let’s back up a step here.
You do not get points for adding an authorized user onto your CSP card.
If someone is already an authorized user on a CSP card, they are still eligible to open their own card and get the 100K points.
Are they sending the new card design to existing cardholders automatically?
I think you need to call and request that.
Is my logic mistaken or does the 10% points bonus effectively make this card earn 10 UR points per dollar, plus the regular earnings?
You are mistaken indeed. The post is correct.
More like 1.1 per dollar I believe
i waited till today to apply being that i received my bonus on the 17th 2017, and still got auto declined, they said i received bonus in oct 2017…. after going through my statements i see i received an aditional 5 thousand points in oct i beleive for adding aditional user ….is there any way around this
Unfortunately, no. You’ll have to wait until then to apply for another Sapphire card.
Applied for my wife and was denied (has a chase checking). Any point in trying reconsideration? What’s the number?
Did she get a CSP bonus in the past 48 months? Is she over 5/24?
Nope, clean from all of those.
Dan, I opened a chase reserve more then 4 years ago, then I changed it to a different type of card, but I changed it back a few months ago to get the 1.5 for Pay yourself back, can I change it now back to a freedom end then back to a reserve? also you think the pay yourself back will be extended?
If I downgrade my sapphire reserve to a freedom card, Do the items I purchased with the sapphire card keep their double warranty.
What happens with the annual fees just paid on the Reserve card? How long besfore you can convert to the Reserve from Preff?
You will get a prorated refund.
You can go back from Freedom to Reserve anytime.
my 5/24 is up soon, so Id need to downgrade the CSR (I got in 2016) to a Freedom, wait a few days, apply for this, but then I can change it back to a CSR? I thought I cannot hold 2 sapphire cards? Obv I prefer it for the 1.5 bonus…
Anyone else get a letter from chase asking for physical proof of residence, SSN, etc. prior to approval? I never have before for any other card!
I’m not so comfortable sending them that info. Can I call them and take care of it?
You can try. But they’re a bank. I don’t see why you don’t want to send them that.
You can go into a branch and have it faxed for you
What was wrong with the old design?
Had this card. how can i check when i got SB?
2. downgraded (to freedom amybe? a no fee card)
can apply now again for this if enough time passed?
3. best value really when can fly. otherwise paying AFs on multiple cards without redemptions
is there a reason i just get denied? i have 2 cc cards with chase, a checking and a savings. credit score over 750, no late payments, $17,000 credit line. with about $200 balance, and i entered a nice yearly income… what else can they possibly need?
could be the high credit line you already have
Call Chase (888-270-2127) and offer to close an older card or shift part of the credit line over to get approved.
“You can apply and Chase won’t pull your credit or approve you if you are not eligible to get the card bonus.”
Even if the reason for ineligibility is due to not best credit?
i had CSR that I downgraded to Freedom Unlimited, applied for CSP in branch but was not showing eligible, was asked to wait until my billing cycle before trying again.
Question is I do miss my CSR amd was thiking what is the best way to get it back. Personally I like Freedom Unlimited 1.5x UR feature. I am thinking of most likely upgeading CSP to CSR once I get the signup bonus. Do you think it will be fine with Chase or it may raise Red flags?
how long did you wait in between downgrading and applying in branch?
Branches make you wait a month after downgrading. You can do it online after 3-4 days.
You may not be able to upgrade CSP to CSR for 12 months, but you can upgrade back from CFU to CSR at any time.
Dan, any idea how long the 100k offer will be around for?
“This 100K offer may end at any time, be sure not to miss it!”
In case of upgrading from freedom UL to CSR will it result in a hard pull and also does it count towards 05/24 rule
I got denied after 3days of downgrade should I apply again tom?
Do you know if they are giving out the free TSA again?
I’m tempted to sing up but nervous I will downgrade the CSR and they won’t approve me for the CSP bonus and/or let me upgrade the CSR card I just downgraded back to CSR. I am taking a risk by downgrading CSR card which is currently yielding me 1.5% return. How are you so sure that it will be seamless to downgrade CSR, sign up for CSP, and then somehow be able to upgrade within a month to regain my CSR card?
Downgrades and upgrades are seamless.
This card never gave Pre-check. You are thinking of Sapphire Reserve.
Does anyone know if I can open this up under a (legitimate) business name? Both me and my wife already have it under our names already.
This is a consumer card, so no.
from what date it start the three months to spend $4000 dallor is it the date i opened the card?
Date of approval, plus a few extra grace days. Should be able to see the deadline in the app.
I had my card anniversary on Aug the first which means I’m losing out on a hotel credit this year.
Is there any disadvantage of downgrading to a freedom and then upgrading again to CSP to get a hotel credit?
Let us know if that works 🙂
Chase wants me to confirm application by calling their fraud operations number. Wait time is over 30 minutes or worse. Several times I got an agent and call quality was terrible so we couldn’t finish the call. Any remedies?
Dan, I applied and got a letter in the mail that I have to call to confirm that it was me applying. They give the number for the verification department. The problem is the wait time is hours and hours. I’ve waited over 2 hours a couple of times only to get disconnected. When I tried Chase’s regular credit card line they said only the verification department can help me. The two weeks they gave me is already up. Any ideas?
Did anyone else get this letter?
Finally got through after a long wait, and got approved!
I appleid few weeks ago on the offer here the site and i got denied, should i call to reconsider or should I reapply with this offer ?
No harm to call reconsideration, though you only have 30 days.
I got denied because i have already the max credit chase could offer me, i have 5k in a united card, i called and they told me that i need min 10k to be approved but since i only have 5k they cant approve,
HUCA is Dan answer, and they wore willing to move my credit from united to the new card but since i had a $15 balance he told me I should first pay it off and then call back, and he said even its now more then 30 days it should be fine,
Applied and was denied since I already have a Sapphire card. Downgraded to Flex, waited 4 days, and was approved.
If my spouse has a add on to my Sapphire preferred will she get approved?
“4. You will get the bonus for this card even if you are an authorized user on another person’s Sapphire card.”
Downgraded my SR on Sunday evening, approved just now with a 13.5k line. Only mistake was renewal for global entry on Sunday morning, charge didn’t post before downgrade, so may be on the hook for the $100. Sent them a DM about it, not expecting them to bite… thanks Dan!
Reserve AF will be billed next month. used TSA and all DD Completed this month. If I dont plan travel what would be a reason to pay next months AF? $550
2. If plan to downgrade, downgrade to what no fee?
3. where can I park points so can move back when skies open? have no freedom and ink cash
4. good idea to apply now for this regular sapphire?
See the posts in this section, which tackle all of those questions:
link doest not seem to address above questions. where do i park CSR for now? (have ink cash and freedom)
is CSR AF prorated?
downgrade to what?
Those are all answered here:
@Dan I am looking everywhere on chase and it doesn’t show me how much of the $4,000 I spent already to get the sign up bonus. Can you point me to the right place?
Click on the card in the Chase app and it should be under recent activity.
UR going to ink CASH will remain UR? or become cash only?
ink cash use points to book flights at 1.25? or cash at .01 per point?
2. Saphire (not reserve) has foreigh fees?
3. is prorate AF refund for CSR still in effect?
4. any reason to keep open if no travel planned ? (and PC when covid is over?) still 550-300 = 250 fee
if no loungue or 1.5 whats the reason to pay $250 vs new card and $95 af? (95 waived first year?)
I had a high balance on my card last month and this month I paid it off before the closing date, and the closing date was yesterday, is the new low balance already reported to the credit bureau? can I apply today already?
You can check your report and see:
How long after hitting the $4k spend on average before I see the 100k points on my account
When the following statement closes.
Is there a reason for me to call and request new design? Is it a nicer look? Any benefit with the new design?
Interestingly, I just order two extra family members, and they sent me the old design for them to.
Just the look.
Nice write-up Dan! Just a thanks for your great work!
I called chase yesterday and asked what day can I apply, when will the 48 months will be up and they told me on the 18th of this month so I applied today and got declined I called and they told me it was due to the fact that it was within the 48 months I told the rep I called the other day and they said I can apply after the 18th so she said that there not allowed to give a date for this reason and the system doesn’t always know the exact day that’s why I got declined and that this also goes on ur credit history that u got declined(even thow a rep said I was eligible) any recommendation about how to proceed?
Did you downgrade your old Sapphire? What is the statement close date from when you got the previous bonus?
Is this a good card to use in Israel? Any fees?
There are no foreign transaction fees. I have used the card a few times in Israel for dining and I earned the (new) 3x points on each of those transactions. I think it’s a great card for use in Israel if you can make the $95 annual fee worthwhile.
whats the call number if the application goes into review?
which airlines to israel allow free date change no time limit for booking now to TLV with CSR points?
EL AL/ AA / UNITED?
When do you get charged for the annual fee? Right away of at the end of the first year?
During your first statement period.
Anyone know if $95 fee counts toward $4000 spending?
It does not.
Does buying gift cards on this credit card count towards the $4,000 to spend to get the bonus?
Why not? As long as it’s not a cash advance.
i closed my old sapphire and aplied for a new one 4 days later, got denied insantly (online)
why can this happen ????? (other then 5/24) thanx
Any way/is it worth it to transfer chase points to Hilton?
Tried combining points between my cards. When I go to combine points it says you have no one to combine with, even though I have two chase UR cards and my husband has one. I called them twice but still the same situation. Is there a way for me to create my “household”?
I had the same problem and they realized somewhere on one of the accounts one of the names were spelled wrong and it made all the trouble
Thanku after 130 minutes on the phone got approved!
if i got denied and then THRU THE RECONSIDERATION LINE got accepted after the offer ends, do i still get the bonus
I currently have the reserve which I got in March of 2017, can I apply for preferred to get the bonus then downgrade the reserve to freedom or a different card?
You first need to downgrade the Reserve to Freedom, wait 3-4 days, then apply for Preferred.
100k points still available for this card?
when should i cancel reserve? downgrade to what?
See these posts:
I got my card in the mail today – I see the $50 hotel credit but no mention of the 100,000 point sign up bonus on any of the paperwork nor on my account online. Can I assume that I got that offer? I don’t have any other chase cards.
If you used the link in this post, yes.
i just downgraded to freedom unlimited when would you recommend me applying for the sapphire again?
anyway to check before i do so?
No. But if it’s too soon you can just apply again in a day or 2.
The application would say already have the card?
No, after you apply it will auto-reject if it still thinks you have an active card.
would it pull my credit?
Can I be an authorized user on a Sapphire Reserve on someone else’s card and get 1.5 cent redemption?
If you transfer points to their card to redeem, sure.
I downgraded on Motsei Shabbos, and wanted to apply today, but on chase.com it still shows that i have the sapphire.
Can i apply anyway or i’ll for sure get rejected?
It should not still show that. Call them.
If I get the Preferred, meet the spending limit, and then downgrade it to a Freedom unlimited, will I still get the 5x on groceries, or do I need to apply for a new freedom unlimited?
New Freedom Unlimited only.
I am just about at 4 years since I got my Sapphire card. I want to transfer miles to my spouses card and then downgrade my Sapphire to become eligible for a new one. Trouble is that when I try to go to the Chase transfer page there is no option to add my spouses account. Just for my own and I don’t have an account to transfer the points to.
Hi Dan, under what category does Uber Eats
Fall under . Online groceries or dining ?
I believe it’s travel last I checked. Anyone have a recent charge to check?
I have a charge from 8/20 and its dining, I got 3X points on CSP.
Good to know, thanks!
And you’ll get a 10% bonus on that as well 🙂
If I have a CSP and received the bonus 2 years ago. I would like the CSR so I can get TSA precheck and Priority Pass (as well as 1.5 cents on travel). Can I upgrade to CSR and double dip prior to January on the AF? I understand I won’t get any bonus but don’t see any downside in doing this. Correct?
HI, @DAN what will be the pay your self back categories after September 30?
Thanks so much it’s appreciated
I downgraded my Chase Sapphire Reserve to a Freedom Flex card in order to take advantage of the Sapphire Preferred offer. Now that I’ve got the 100,000 bonus, can I upgrade my Freedom Flex back to the Sapphire Reserve?
If so, is there any time limit to do this?
Yo can upgrade back
If i downgrade this card before the account anniversary, will i lose the 10% Anniversary points?
Is the PYB being extended for groceries?
How long should I wait to upgrade the card back to a Sapphire reserve, I had the reserve before and closed it to open the preferred for this offer? Not going to cancel but rather change the card to the Reserve.
Chase shut my bank Acct’s and CCs in the end of 2018. Have you heard of ppl being reinstated? If yes, what’s the process?
I tried applying for a card 4 months ago and got a continuous spinning circle.
dan do u think i can rely on pay yourself back being extended past 9/30?
hi dan, if i upgrade from sapphire to reserve before my 100k bonus is received can i lose the bonus?
Applied for this as my first credit card and got approved! I did already have a chase checking account so that might have helped
Just spoke to Chase and they are telling me there is a 30-day period I need to wait from when closing my old sapphire until I can apply for a new one.
Fake news. That’s only true in a branch, not online.
Hi Dan can you please respond to the questions I have asked? thanks
What’s your guys take?
18 year old who has been an AU on AmEx, Chase freedom, chase Sapphire, Barclays cards, and a few more.
Should he go straight for the sapphire preferred? or go for a freedom and wait a month or two and apply for the Sapphire preferred?
I got the Freedom right when I turned 18 and then the CSP a week later.
Does he have a Chase Checking account?
Yes he does, has a few bucks in there as well.
Maybe the CSP if he has a few thousand in the bank.
If I got my bonus from the preferred card inAug 2017 I can signup now and get the bnos again?
Can I sign up again if I already have this card?
Also, if I’m signing my spouse up, and she has no income of her own, is it okay to put down my income as hers? What should she put for occupation?
No, yes. Unemployed?
I am currently 4/24 and want to get this card and one of the INK flavors, what’s the best strategy to get both?
Today is the last day 1 can redeem their Sapphire points for a 1.5c value towards groceries.
Don’t know if you made a mention about it.
Is chase considering a Mortgage payment via plastiq as cash advance?
Try it and let us know.
I think that I did thins correctly, can you please confirm? I transferred my points from my card to my wifes (both are Sapphire Preferred) and downgraded my card to the Freedom. If this is correct, how will I know if I will be eligible for the bonus on the new Sapphire application when I do it? I don’t want to apply if I won’t get it? TY
When did you last get a Sapphire bonus?
I think Sept 2017. Thats what it looks like on Sept statement.
Then you should be good to go a few days after the downgrade.
No way to be sure before I submit application, as is by Amex? How many days should I wait?
No, 3-4 days should be fine.
If you’re rejected there’s no hard pull, so no big deal.
My question is can i be approved but they won’t give the bonus?
Hi Im a bit confused if i have at the momoent an active preffered card and i got my last bonus in 2015 what is my process i need to down grade to a freedom and than after 3-4 days just apply for the preffered? or if i will upgrade the freedom i will get the bonus as well can someone please clear this up for me?
Thanks in advance
Yes, change to Freedom and wait a few days to apply.
I had a csr and I closed the account and I have a csp that I changed over to the freedom unlimited now I applied for the csp and I got declined I do have a chase checking account .
Dan you have any ideas how to get approved?
If i downgrade this card before the account anniversary, will i lose the 10% Anniversary points?
Yes. Why downgrade before the anniversary?
We are downgrading our CSR to freedom to enable us to get the CSP. We have booked a car rental using the CSR points but the actual rental will be after we have downgraded. I’m assuming that since we have already paid with points it won’t affect the rental. Is that correct? Also wondering about how it will affect the car insurance. Am I correct that we will not have any insurance through our CC since Freedom doesn’t cover insurance? If I give my Ink Business Cash card at the counter will that help with insurance, or will it not since it was covered by points from what will then be Freedom? Thanks!
You can upgrade it back to CSR.
Thursday 9/30 downgraded CSR. then was weekend. when good time to apply for new saphire?
Tomorrow should be safe.
Dan Will i get 3X for grocery in store purchases or only if shopping online?
Online or grocery delivery.
@ dan what’s the best bonus and most valuable business card for someone who spent less then 2k monthly and not interested in travel and hotels?
Thanks in advance
Why are they denying me and my wife the card? Our credit scores are both over 820
Call and ask?
As a holder of the JPM Reserve, I thought they would deny me, they didn’t, got immediate approval. I don’t know if that is holding anyone else back.
Correct, as that is not a Sapphire product.
Maybe I am not the only idiot then 🙂
I just cancelled my sapphire to apply for the preferred and get the signup bonus. Now that I see it ends in two days and I need to wait 3-4 days to apply for the Sapphire preffered, is there anyway I can still get the bonus? Maybe I can apply now and only get accepted later and still get the bonus?
It might work after 2 days, YMMV.
Downgrading to Freedom is better than cancelling. Could call to reopen and downgrade.
I finally downgraded my Reserve to the Freedom Flex on Saturday morning, do you think I would be able to get the bonus if I apply on Wednesday?
Is it too late to downgrade Reserve to Freedom Today and apply on Wednesday?
You may still be able to do that, but start the process ASAP!
Hi, Dan. Several years ago, Chase closed my accounts. 2 months ago per your suggestion, I opened a checking account with Chase, applied for the Sapphire card, was approved, and I got the points. Today, I received a letter from Chase, informing me, that since the closed my cards earlier, the will now be shutting my accounts. BTW, I applied last night for the Chase Bonvoy card and was approved
Big mistake applying for 2 cards so rapidly after a shutdown. Best to take things slowly in that situation…
i got the letter today. that means that is was sent last week. i applied for the 2nd card last night. So they made the decision to close my accounts before I applied for the 2nd card. In fact, I am glad that that I applied for the 2nd card last night. The letter says that they will close my Sapphire card on October 27th. That gives me enough time to get the 2nd card and complete the spending.
Interesting, though they’re likely to shut that down too.
Where did you spend on the Sapphire card?
Yes, they will probably shut it on October 27th. I just hope that if i complete my spending by then, they will honor their commitment. I just did regular spending Walmart, Amazon, local BP stores. Nothing unusual. BTW, the letter only says that they will close my Sapphire card. It makes no mention of the checking account. Look, Dan, meanwhile I got 100k Sapphire points, and I appreciate that. Was this idea a glitch In Chase’s system ? Time will tell.
Just make sure you transfer those points out!
Of course. I will be transferring them to my wife.
Might be better off transferring to an airline/hotel program rather than get her account involved.
if I downgrade my reserve today 10/4 can I still be eligible for bonus on 10/6?
People have been able to get approved 2 days after a downgrade.
am i able to apply for this card before i turn 18?(i will turn 18 in december)
We’ll let you know our decision in writing as soon as we can, and if you’re approved, you’ll receive your card in 7 to 10 business days. Please don’t resubmit your application.
is this the usual?
2. Hotel credit only if booked via chase UR.
3. REMEMBER TO spend 4k !
Normal. You can call 888-270-2127 if you want to try to expedite.
Any reason not to just keep trying to apply after I downgrade and see when it goes through?
Pointless. It won’t work.
if I downgraded Friday should I apply now or should wait till Wednesday?
Today is probably fine, can wait for tomorrow to play it totally safe if you want.
Has the recon number changed? I no longer get a person, just my application status…
I downgraded on the 30th. Can i already apply today?
i hit the signup offer on the csp and know want to downgrade to a freedom un… will chase refund a prorated ammount of the annual fee? can chase cancel my card for abbusing the point system if i do this? thanks
I don’t recommend doing that until at least 12 months have gone by.
I got the bonus after spending the 4K, and now i did some returns, can it have an affect (take back the bonus or close accounts)?
Hi Dan, is the promotion ending this week? My CSR 4 year just hit last week and I just called to downgrade to a freedom unlimited. Hope to apply for CSP on Thursday or Friday.
“Update: Chase has confirmed to me that this offer will end on Wednesday, 10/6!”
Thanks. I downgraded this morning 10/4 and I see my online banking already showing the freedom. Maybe I should try applying CSP tomorrow? Thank you.
There’s no correlation with that.
Downgraded 10/4 at 8pm Eastern time. Online account immediately shows product as a Freedom. Dan, I want to wait as long as possible on Wednesday before applying. Any idea based on past experience the time of the day that offers get pulled? Thanks!
Hopefully we should know more tomorrow.
Will this end 12am Wednesday or Thursday?
My guess is late Wednesday or early Thursday. Last time the Sapphire 80K ended it was the next day, but we’ll have to wait and see.
I just downgraded my csr to freedom a few minutes ago. Given the usual 2-4 day waiting factor and recent announcement of this offer finishing tomorrow, what would be the best way to go about trying to still get this offer?
Dan – I applied for the card and was denied. Realized I have a sapphire card open so I’m assuming that the reason. Can I call them to downgrade to a diif card and then call them to reconsider the decision? If so, when would you recommend I call them after switching the card?
Call to downgrade now, then reapply Wednesday.
Dan, I screwed up. Things were crazy the past few months. We moved, were out of state when my card arrived during the summer so it didn’t reach me for many weeks. I missed the 4k in 3 months! I could’ve easily made it but didn’t wanna charge too much too quickly but then I lost track….. Do you think they’d give me extra time if I call/PM?? I never had this before!
Downgrade it and apply for another one?
You feel I can downgrade now and safely reapply on Wednesday?? You don’t think I can get flagged as abusing the system and have my accounts shut? Should I first try asking if they would give me more time and if not, downgrade?
Can’t hurt, but like I said, unlikely and you’ll miss your chance to downgrade.
I can ask for more time and if denied, just downgrade- all in the same phone call without getting myself flagged? Or better to call back?
The woman said a card cannot be downgraded within the first 12 months. Accurate??
Just asking cuz I think you realized it was just opened….
Thank you. I have not applied for any new cards in the past 4 years. Would it hurt to apply for a new freedom unlimited so I can get rewards and then transfer credit line to it from sapphire and then still be able to apply for reserve on Wednesday? If tht will ruin things I’d rather just transfer the card without getting the opening bonus on the freedom to be able to still get the reserve. Thank you again!
You can open a sapphire and a freedom or freedom unlimited at the same time.
any data points of fudge factor on 48 month limit. My last sapphire opening was 10/17/19.
Unlikely to get approved, but no harm in applying if you so desire.
I got the bonus after spending the 4K, and now i did some returns, can it have an affect (take back the bonus or close accounts)?
“or you can upgrade back again if you still want a Sapphire Reserve”
When can you change back?
Anytime after approval.
I accidentally put the wrong SS number when applying for a CC. Shall I reapply or wait till the morning to call and have them fix that issue?
Hi, how can I still get this bonus if I only downgraded from the preferred to the freedom yesterday? I am eligible to get the bonus, but this post says I need to wait 3-4 days to apply again. By that point, the bonus would be over. How do I still get the bonus?
Give it a shot late Wednesday.
How late? Did Chase disclose what time?
my statement from my last sapphire had a close date of 10/6. Can i apply tomorrow, or is today the last day? How do they calculate 48 months? Is it from the time I met my spending threshhold? Due date?
Time from the statement on which you received the last bonus.
Data point. Four years ago, the statement cycle which posted my bonus ended on 10/6/2017. I just applied and was approved without any message saying I wouldn’t get a bonus. I did change my last name since then with chase, but don’t think that should have affected them realizing that I’m the same person.
If you were approved you will get the bonus.
Changed Sapphire to freedom yesterday but just realized I have a sapphire business card. Will that disqualify me for the promotion?
There is no such thing as a Sapphire business card.
Is there any way to expedite the downgrade process? I’m seeing an “unlimited” instead of the “reserve” now on my end but chase still not approved preferred application and claiming system hasn’t yet recognized the downgrade. Please advise.
No, try applying again tomorrow.
How long after downgrading from ‘old’ preferred to freedom can I apply for my ‘new’ preferred?
Typically it takes a couple days.
I just changed my Sapphire card to the Slate card a few minutes ago. I already see the change on my login page. Can I apply for the Sapphire Preferred now or wait for tomorrow?
It won’t work today.
Will this work if I convert my sapphire reserve today and apply for this card tomorrow?
No harm in trying.
Dan, I tried downgrading the CSP I opened in June (mentioned above- as I lost track and missed the 4k spend bonus). Rep told me I can’t downgrade within 12 months.
Is that accurate? HUCA?
You can certainly try a few HUCAs and perhaps explain what happened, but that is officially a rule.
On side note- part of why I missed the spend was cuz I once read either here or on DDF not to immediately spend “too much” on a new card. So I only put 30% of my childs camp tuition figuring I had 3 months to meet the spend…. Had l charged it all in June ($2800), I would’ve hit the 4k in no time.
What’s “too much” spend too quickly on a new card? Is 2-3k in first month too much??
What happens if I apply today and get approved in 2-3 days (when the promotion ended). Will I still get the 100k points?
As long as you apply for the 100K offer, you will get the 100K points.
Can I get this bonus if I convert a different Chase Card into a Sapphire Preferred?
No, bonuses are for opening new cards.
Will I still be able to apply tomorrow on 10/6, or is today the last day? I need to wait another day bc I first switched another Sapphire card to Freedom.
Tomorrow is OK.
If I just downgraded my CSR, any harm of trying to apply today?
Wait for tomorrow.
The 48 months to be eligible starts from date of opening card or date receiving the bonus?
Getting the bonus.
I got declined because “there are too many cards opened in the last two years associated with me.”
I only opened one under my name and three or four I am just an authorized user. Any idea what I can do?
When I spoke to chase they said we can disregard those accounts but then I will have too few accounts for not long enough and wont get approved.
Let me know
HUCA Chase about disregarding the AU accounts.
Dan – Does the 100K offer expire on End of Day Wednesday?
I ask because you say 24 hours left.
I’m still waiting on confirmation of the time.
Is it still possible to apply tomorrow (Wednesday 10/6) morning?
I switched a sapphire card yesterday to freedom unlimited. Will I be able to apply for the preferred with bonus or is it too late?
If I apply for this card, can I use it to consolidate other credit cards?
You can move credit lines between all Chase consumer cards.
Can I apply for a business for this offer?
No, this is a consumer card.
Anybody knows how much of an income you need to make in order to be approved? And can you count your parents income if you live with them?
There’s no published minimum. You can count all household income.
I downgraded my Sapphire Reserve earlier this week to the Freedom Unlimited. Tried applying today but they said it takes 30 days for system to recognize the downgrade and that its a common issue.
Is there a way to lock in the signup bonus while waiting for system to be able to accept application?
It actually takes 2-3 days.
You can try again tomorrow.
If I am not sure the exact date of when I received the sign up bonus on a previous preferred card but it has been about 4 years. Is there a way to check online if I am eligible for the signup bonus.
Did you close that card? Downgrade it?
If i downgrade today my sapphire card, is it possible to still get the sign up bonus?
It’s definitely worth trying.
I got a Too many requests for credit or opened accounts with us. How long should I wait before I apply again?
Try calling Chase?
I called the reconsideration line and it got approved! Tried asking the rep if I’m still eligible for the 100k bonus, but he said he’ll have to transfer me to a customer rep for that question…
Do I get 5% on groceries for the first year if I downgrade CSR to Freedom Flex?
My wife last got a CSP 8/27/2019. Any point in applying now or sheer waste of time? And wasted hard pull??
Not likely to work, but no hard pull if not eligible due to that rule.
Can Ends 10/7, mean 10/6 midnight?
I downgraded yesterday morning and just applied and got this message. Is this because of the recent downgrade?
“Thank you for your request.
Unfortunately, we are unable to approve your application.
We will provide you more detailed information in 7-10 days that explains the reasons for this decision.”
Yes, you need at least 2 days.
Do I just apply again today or do I have to call in?
got approved with 12 minutes to spare! thank you dan!
Any down side to cancelling a credit card? I have a freedom unlimited and would like to apply for this preferred card but don’t want to have two cards….
Your total credit would go down if you cancel. Why not downgrade to the excellent Freedom card?
I have an Delta Amex card that I genreally use for all my purchases, and appreciate the mileage points that I get from those purchases. I now got this card, and used it to get the 100,000 points. My question is, from which card will I benefit more from using now for all my expenses? I.e. which card will give me better points/benefits and therefore I should charge my living expenses to that card?
Thank you for your great tips!!
Delta miles are a terrible currency to accrue.
Applied and Got this message
“We have received your request for a Chase credit card. We’ll let you know our decision as soon as possible.”
Anything more that I can do at this point ? Such as calling in or something ?
You can try calling 888-270-2127.
If I convert my sapphire reserve today by 11am Oct 6 and apply for the card tomorrow will I get the bonus?
You would have to try and see. No pull if you can’t get it.
Is the annual fee waived for the first year?
If it was, this post would say that 🙂
just applied for my wife this morning (10/6) and was approved! Guess I made it under the wire
is it dead? only seeing the 60k offer on chase website
Use the link in this post?
60k offer is probably the Sapphire Reserve (different card)
I downgraded my Sapphire to a Freedom yesterday and was told by the rep that I could then immediately obtain the Preferred. Well, they turned me down anyway since on of their systems still shows I have a Sapphire card (even though they sent me emails confirming the downgrade!). I spoke to a manager in the loan department and he insisted there was nothing he could do. Terrible customer service and bureaucratic hell.
You trusted a phone rep over me?
I’m insulted 😀
You can still apply again, there’s no credit hit in that case.
Definitely you 🙂 but there seem to be different outcomes on this issue – looks like some people are getting approved after one day, while other notes indicate it takes 30 days after the downgrade. In any case, I plan to apply again (for the 3rd time!) later today. At least no hard pulls being done so nothing to lose (except 100k in bonus miles!!)
Does it make sense I got approved immediately upon hitting submit??
What time today does this offer end?
I just got in a little while ago (I put the PRO in procrastinate) and was approved. Is there any easy way (other than calling) to confirm that I got in on the bonus?
If you are approved you will get the bonus.
I downgraded yesterday and applied earlier today and turned down.
Does it hurt for me to try to apply again later today? will it affect my credit score as hard pull or something? should i call them at chase?
I’d wait for tomorrow.
what time tomorrow eastern time?
Also, does it hurt if I try before then? Can I try multiple times?
Thank you so much Dan!!!
Downgraded Monday morning.
Applied now, Called reconsiderations.
We Love You Dan!!❤️
Downgraded last night and upon login today I see:
“We’ve transferred your account details to your new credit card XXXX”
Safe to apply for CSP now or wait till tomorrow?
Also what happens to free Shipt now that I’ve downgraded?
Downgraded Monday, was approved immediately today!
I downgraded 10/04 before midnight. Should I try today or wait till tomorrow? Is it a risk to wait until tomorrow? do we know that 10/07 is ligit?
You can apply now.
funnily enough, moments after my downgrade, doordash already noticed and cancelled my membership
Will cancelling the card after 12 months have an effect on my credit score?
How bout if i downgrade after 12 months ?
Just downgrade it to a free card like Freedom after 1yr
Just to be sure, that won’t have any affect on my credit score ?
Correct, no affect on your score if you just product change.
If you close, it may have an effect, though that can be mitigated by shifting the credit line before closing.
I got the freedom bonus 23 months ago. Can I apply now and just wait a month to earn the spending threshold?
You won’t get approved until 24 months.
Another procrastinator here. I just downgraded to Freedom before midnight last night. Do I still have a chance? Should I apply today or tomorrow?
Probably tomorrow morning.
You updated DDMS to show the confirmed ending date of today, Wednesday. Was that done after the 2:17pm time stamp of the post above or is the “probably tomorrow morning” answer still valid? Thanks.
Good question. I hope the deadline is still 10/7. That’s what Google still shows. Dan must be thinking I’ve been telling everyone to sign up for so long now, lol.
i downgraded to a sapphire card. will that work to apply for the sapphire reserve?
Hi Dan, I applied for this cc thru your link and got a pending message, however when i log into my chase account i see the preferred cc added to my cc list, do i still need to call Recon? or that means that its approved?
Nope, you’re approved!
I downgraded my Sapphire Reserve Monday afternoon and just got approved for the Sapphire Preferred. I used the 100,000 points links to apply. I have no reason to think I won’t get the points, but now that I got approved, where is the proof that I am entitled to the 100,000 points if I meet the spending requirements? The email I received doesn’t say anything. Is it somewhere on the Chase website when I log in? I don’t see it anywhere. Thanks (and apologies because you’ve probably answered this already).
If you are approved, you will get the points.
A tracker will show up in the Chase app in the next week or so.
Dan – my wife and I have 4 cards (3 in my name, including a Reserve). Is it a good idea credit-wise to open a 5th card (Preferred, in my wife’s name)?
My card was opened November 4th 2017.
Do they count 48 full months for the sighnup bonus?
Can’t hurt to try. No pull if you’re not approved.
If my application was declined despite my excellent credit rating, and I’d like to call for reconsideration, do I need to call today? If I call in a few days (once I receive the reason), will I still receive the bonus points?
You don’t need to call today, but if you need to fix something and reapply then it has to be done before the offer ends.
If you go thru the reconsideration team is that called reapplying?
No. Reapplying means filling out a new application.
Downgraded 10/4/21 at 8pm eastern.
Applied 10/6/21 at 6:30pm eastern.
Received “Thank you for your request. We need to review your request a little longer. We will let you know of our decision as soon as possible.”
I assume this means the application went through (i.e., it wasn’t rejected for being too close in time to my downgrade) and I won’t reapply later. Please tell me if I am wrong. thanks
Your assumption sounds correct.
why cant I find the reconsideration phone number?
Which card(s) should I 2BM (or 3BM if that still works) with this application
What other Chase cards do you have now?
Freedom flex and unlimited.
Ink Plus x 2
looks like Chase is getting slammed.
I just tried 6 different chase recon phone #’s. calls arent going through
Yes. Something is very wrong. Their fraud department line isn’t even in operation.
Dan, do you know the cut off time to apply? I’m on the west coast and would like to apply.
1 approved, but another under further review. Reconsideration is closed so will call tomorrow. Hope we can still get the offer.
My 3 months passed and didnt spend the $4K. Is there anything I can do about it? What are my options?
I wish they had their business version of this car I would get it….
Got a SP for the last 5 years and my wife is additional. Can I apply on her name and get bonus ?
Thanks. Applied and approved!
Applied and got approved. Is it worth to apply now for the Marriot Boundless or United Quest? Which is a better offer?
Will it be combined into 1 pull?
Already have both Freedom cards?
Marriott offer is strong now.
No. Have other family members with Freedoms…
Freedom is more value offer than Marriot or United?
Will it combine into 1 pull?
I would say so. It should.
Will it combine into 1 pull?
Where does it say that it’s expiring today?
It still says the promotion on chase site ..
if I apply now will I get 100k?
If the offer says 100K, that’s what you’ll get.
Car rental protection in IsPlat? This card ?
Amex delta plat?
Can spouse income be added?
Whoever hasn’t signed up by now won’t sign up now.
My 2 cents 🙂
exactly, enough with the constant posts
Do I still have time to convert to Freedom?
Application from yesterday was pending, unable to get bough to Recon last night just called this morning and the holdup was they wanted my to transfer from another credit line (old CSR now flex was 59k) 2 minutes to fix and was approved
my CL for all CC is too close to my annual income I gave. should i discuss adding spouse income with them? correct originally reported income? any chance they would approve?
another potential issue is if a few days after CSR maybe still showing as George below writes?
DOC, what number recon did u call?
Hey Dan, I applied yesterday 2 days after downdtafing to a freedom, and got declined right away. Freedom, called recon and was told it was fmdur to my old sapphire still showing on my account, and I would need to wait a full billing cycle to reapply. Please advise if theres anything that can still be done. Should I apply again?
I know this promo is over but wanted to know if anyone had an answer: Does the wait from downgrade to applying need to be twoish business days or do weekends count
holding for recon 52 min so far… rep said they dont have my home address. logged in from account that has 3 other cards. they do not?
if im transferring all my points to ba is there an advantage to have the chase preferred?
Is it possible that Chase would honor the bonus for meeting the spend on FOUR months instead of the stated 3? I mistakenly missed the 3 month target but recently noticed a pop up in my Chase app saying I’d get the bonus for spending $4000 in FOUR months. I couldn’t get a screenshot. Can that just be an error or is it possible? I will call up either way to try to get it.
I still have not received my card that I got approved on 10/15. Any ideas ? TY
