Delta has released nonstop business class award space between JFK and Europe to their partner airlines.

The best way to book it would be with 50K Virgin Atlantic miles one-way, a massive savings compared to the 500K miles that Delta Skypesos can charge when booked through them. There are no fuel surcharges for these flights if you book one-way or round-trip from the US. A one-way from Europe to the US would trigger fuel surcharges.

Through 9/30, you can currently get a 30% transfer bonus from AMEX to Virgin Atlantic, so 39K AMEX points would convert into 50.7K Virgin Atlantic miles and 77K AMEX points would convert into 100.1K Virgin Atlantic miles, more than enough for a round-trip in business class.

Virgin charges $50 for award changes or cancellation with redeposit. Virgin miles never expire.
