Delta only releases limited saver economy award seats for their partners to book to Israel and practically never opens saver business class award seats for their partners to book to Israel.

But Delta’s flying to Israel is currently suspended through 3/29 and they have released an incredible amount of saver award space for when they currently intend to return to the market. Of course, that return date can change, but hopefully thanks to their new El Al partnership it will stick.

This availability is a true unicorn, and on most dates there are enough seats to book at least 9 passengers! Grab it while it lasts!

You can’t book these with Delta miles, you’ll have to use partner award miles such as:

  • You can book one-way Delta coach awards for 39K Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles and Delta business class awards for 110.5K Air France/KLM Flying Blue miles. There are no fuel surcharges. Bookable online from Air France. Cancelations or changes cost 50 Euros.
  • You can book one-way Delta coach awards for 49.5K Virgin Atlantic points and Delta business class awards for 130K Virgin Atlantic points . There are no fuel surcharges. Bookable online from Virgin Atlantic. Cancelations or changes cost the lower of taxes paid or $50.
  • You can book one-way Delta coach awards for 55K El Al Matmid points and Delta business class awards for 200K El Al Matmid points. There are no fuel surcharges. You’ll need to call El Al to book partner awards, so may the odds be ever in your favor!

Of course, if Delta cancels their flights, you can get a refund or ask for rebooking on another airline, but the refund would go to the mileage program and not back to the bank if you transfer points there.

Mendel

So now the standard is for Business to cost 3-4 times as much as economy in miles?

Jo

How do I book this with Chase points?

Dave

What’s smoking hot about this?

Decent but far from smoking

Smoking hot for 110k business fares…. how in the world did we get here ?

Fan Feels

Anything here for a no-pointer?

Momo

Anything from other cities ? Like MIA/FLL ?

moishe

what about from los angeles

ms

Why is this smoking hot? This past summer I booked Elal business class for 90K Qantas points.

FBR

If someone doesn’t understand the value of a Delta One suite to TLV for 110k points and the wide open availability to book them on those dates, then I’m not sure why they’re even in this game.

Thank you for posting this and I wish I was a person who could make a quick decision because I’m sure these will be gone so fast. For those who do understand this is certainly HOT!

Decent but far from smoking

No one is claiming this is not a deal. There are just levels of deals and hotness

Ariel A.

Most readers probably haven’t amassed over 500k points, so these numbers are hard to justify. Not everyone was in the game when you could buy dollar coins from the mint send money to people on amazon, open 3 citi cards per month and apply for 4+ cards in one sitting.

moishe

WHT TAXES SO HIGH OVER $2500

Yada

If you normally pay for business, even with points, this is indeed smoking hot! Biz has gotten very expensive!!

Than you sir

Agree this is hot. I would consider this very very hot by Dan Standards (or triple smoking sizzling hot by JJ’s 😉 )

Here is the question. What are the chances if you book the Delta Biz class flight using Air France Miles that they will then re-accommodate you on ELAL in business (same date or similar) if Delta doesn’t end up re-starting flying for your dates. If chances are pretty good or more than I would definitely have this as smoking hot by all standards.

actually, curious to know since this could be very helpful if that’s the case

When I try to transfer my amex points to air france/klm flying blue, It says 1000 amex points = only 750 flying blue points. Is that correct, or am I doing something wrong?

Joe

Booked in biz! Tanks for the deal

chaim

no normal dates from tlv-nyc

Danny

Not available with Delta Miles, I logged into my Delta and economy is 80,000 JFK-TLV or TLV-JFK

Business traveler

I understand it’s definitely a deal being the wide open availability and available to all however I fly united Polaris on average for $4000 roundtrip that’s 400k Amex centurion points I get back 50% making my roundtrip 200k so 100k each way . Newark over JFK.. I earn crazy mileage as it’s a cash fare united 1k member etc..

I’m sure the delta suite is nicer then Polaris but….

man

What is the ratio when I transfer the points from chase?

gmd

Do you think the other airlines will follow suit? I am already sitting on a bunch of aa and ua points, and would prefer to use those

Matt

Hi how does this work with booking for infant under 2 it’s saying under 12 not allowed to travel for work

gmd

How does the Delta suites compare to UA Polaris?

Elizabeth

The suite is overrated. EWR is better than JFK.

Moe

Booked myself wife and kid in business. Thank you Dan! When you mention Delta cancelling that’s because of the war or price mistake? More importantly, I saw on Flying Blue it said we will give a free seat for a parent near the child.. should I cancel child seat? Don’t know how business would work for such a little kid but want myself and wife to be in business so did business for kid too

Matt

It wasn’t allowing me to add infant. How did u do that?

Yaakov

oof!

Shulem

Thanks @Dan As always, booked 2 Biz tickets with AF

zlaman

@dan which dates are still avail

dan fan

How do I book Delta on Virgin without tax? I am trying for round trip 2 tickets. The taxes are over $4143

american israeli

thanks dan! booked a ticket for the hottest season “bein hazmanim” for 39k when the same economy tickets one way are $1700

Matt

Anyone else having issues with af website right now?

Chaim

wow booked a nice few seats for Tishrei!!!! Thanks.
Seems that now all Delta inventory was pulled….

FanofDan

If cancel, are the miles returned to Airfrance/Virgin and then “stuck” there or can they somehow be transferred back to Chase?

YD

Can never move them back to chase once transferred out.

David

Stuck

Shmooz

Stuck

Yochai

Would they rebook on LY if they cancel a flight booked with a partner?

MO

@dan if I boon thru VA can I score the buy 1 get 2nd ½ off the miles

cb

that offer only on virgin metal

Lar

No problems getting a flight via Virgin now. Thankd

Dan Fan

I cant put in tlv for my requested flight

cb

why does Flying Blue show 110k price then when I book it drops to 96k + $600 Yq !?

Aron

What’s the taxes for the economy and if I cancel is it 50 euro per way or booked as round trip would be 50 euro in total.

Thanks

Aron

On air France not allowing me to proceed with booking to see details is this because I didn’t transfer the miles yet?

AAA

If i book round trip on AF will i pay 100 Euro to cancel or 50?
and will i be able to change or cancel only one way?

MF

The deal of the decade! just booked tlv-nyc via VS points.
thank you Dan!
