I think it might cause taking ‘cha’le’ issue as u put in the yeast n everything happens itself… I advise asking a Rabbi regarding the use of it. I might talk non sense. Don’t know…
It only holds a few cups of flour, less than any shiur even to take challah without a bracha. I have this machine and most of my recipes are for 2-3 cups of flour. But ask your rabbi to be sure.
We have one. Makes great bread and fantastic challahs.

Chala has to be taken by 2.5 lbs. If I’m not mistaking. This machine when selecting large gives u a 2.5 lbs. (amazon info).
