Chase is now offering 100,000 points for signing up for the Chase IHG Premier credit card and spending $3,000 in 3 months. You can get another 5,000 points by adding a free additional user card and making one purchase within 3 months.
Comparison to previous signup bonus:
This IHG Premier card has offered 80K signup points since it launched in April.
Annual fee:
There is a $89 annual fee.
Previous cardholders:
You can receive the bonus on this card if you haven’t received a bonus on the IHG Premier card in the past 24 months and don’t currently have an IHG Premier card.
You can get the bonus even if you have the IHG Select card (The Select card was discontinued in April) or received the bonus on that card in the past 24 months. Having both cards means you’ll get 2 annual anniversary nights and you’ll be able to stack unique award discounts that both cards offer as explained below.
5/24:
The Chase IHG Premier card is not subject to 5/24 restrictions, so you can get approved for this card even if you have opened 5 or more consumer credit cards in the past 24 months. However it will add to your 5/24 count.
If you are under 5/24, you may want to first signup for cards that are subject to 5/24 such as Ink, Freedom, or Sapphire cards
Annual free night:
This card comes with an annual anniversary night for hotels that cost up to 40,000 points. The night must be used within 12 months of when it’s awarded.

Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check:
Cardholders will get reimbursed for Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check charges every 4 years. Those programs make flying so much easier!
Card earnings:
You’ll earn 10 points per dollar at IHG hotels, 2 points per dollar on dining, gas stations, and restaurants, and 1 point per dollar everywhere else. You’ll also earn 10K points every anniversary year if you spend $20K on the card and make one additional purchase.

I. Called them and asked if u can transfer the points to travel miles and I was disappointed to hear that for 100,000 points I can get 12,000 travel points.

can point breaks hotels be booked 6 months in advance? or only contained in that quarter? meaning can one book them when they become available far out past the quarterly point breaks or only within that 4 month window that the discounted 5/10/15 points breaks are available
only within the window and many sell out within a few hours.
What about if I need a suite or two beds and a pullout couch for kids? How much more will those cost with points?
I dont travel much, so i turn in my points for cash at 1 cent a point. My job doesnt allow me to travel based on a good deal, so when I decide that I am going somewhere, I check out the deals and find that i can do better by getting cash and applying it toward the airfare/hotel than by getting the flight/hotel from the card. So, 3questions:
1. What am i doing wrong?
2. What should i do to get better educated? (besides reading DansDeals which i read voraciously like a good action thriller)
3. Does anyone give cash more than 1 cent per dollar?

If you don’t have an IHG card then your IHG points expire only if you have no IHG activity for 12 months.
