  • Bookable on Priceline. Tickets purchased from Priceline today are refundable until tomorrow at 11:29pm ET. Please see this post for directions on how to cancel these tickets.
  • Also bookable on Orbitz or Expedia.
  • Limited seats are available on each date.
  • Always search one-way for 1 seat and then work the search up to the number of seats you need in order to book as many seats on sale as you can.
  • Use a card like Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card or Sapphire Reserve to earn 2 or 3 Chase points per dollar spent and get free trip cancellation/interruption insurance, travel accident insurance, luggage insurance, trip and luggage delay protection, and more!
  • United free changes: If you book by 6/30, you can cancel your trip for free and receive credit that will be valid for 24 months.
  • Fares are basic economy, but having a credit card for airline cards waive many basic economy restrictions. For example if you pay with your Chase United Explorer card or the Chase United Explorer Business Card you can bring a free carry-on, a free checked bag, and have priority boarding.

Earlier this month I wrote about the fare wars sparked by Spirit announcing nonstop service between Cleveland and Newark. United fares had plummeted from $496 one-way to $48 one-way.

Now they’re down to just $17 one-way, of which the actual airfare is just $7!

I believe you do not Earn PQF on Basic Economy.

Jake

What’s United’s price match policy if I booked tickets last week?

S

Can’t you just cancel your original ticket get a voucher and book a new ticket at the lower price

Lcm

That’s what Spirit is good for 🙂

L

Can I book for later and then change to fly this week-keeping the price?

Izz

Where is Cleveland up to in the reopening situation? Will anything interesting for kids be open in the summer?

@yungermanchik

@dan same question

Y

UPDATE!! NOW $28 ROUNDTRIP WITH SPIRIT

chaim

Off topic. United miles offer to purchase with 70% bonus until July 2 = abt 1.8 cent /mile
so for example 80k plus 56k bonus is $2800 now with 5 miles back on cc for united spend = additional 14k total 150k. 2800/150,000 = 1.86 cents. Is it worth it?

chaim

correction 5 miles back is only with MileagePlus X – otherwise 2 miles back on cc comes out to 1.9 cents. i know YMMV but what is typically a fair range?

Eli

thanks, booked for July 18 weekend with my wife, 2 year old and newborn, first time for them on a plane, is there anything to do on Sunday for a 2 year old thats open?

Jake

Can I book with someone else United and get the free luggage

donna

how do i book this flight?
