Table of Contents
Signup bonus:
You can now signup for the Citi Premier® Card Card and earn 60K Citi ThankYou points for opening this card and spending $4,000 in 3 months. Those points are worth a minimum of $600 of gift cards or $750 towards travel, but they can be worth much more as shown below.
The previous signup bonus on this card was 50K points for spending $4,000 in 3 months. If you signed up for the previous offer within the past 90 days you can try asking to be matched to this offer.
Annual fee:
There is a $95 annual fee, though the points and benefits are worth far more than that.
Previous cardholders:
You can receive the bonus on this card if you haven’t received a bonus or closed the Citi ThankYou Preferred, ThankYou Premier, or Citi Prestige card in the past 24 months.
You can get the bonus if you currently have those cards.
Non-expiring points:
Your Citi ThankYou points will not expire for as long as you remain a cardholder.
Card earnings:
Earn 3 points per dollar on travel. The travel category includes airfare, car rentals, hotels, cruises, travel agencies, public transportation, timeshares, boat rentals, taxis, tolls, trains, parking, Uber, Lyft, etc.
Earn 3 points per dollar on gas stations.
Earn 2 points per dollar on dining. Dining includes coffee shops, cafes, bar, lounges, and restaurants.
Earn 2 points per dollar on entertainment. Entertainment includes sporting events, amusement parks, zoos, museums, tourist attractions, theater, concerts, movies, video rentals, internet steaming media, etc.
There are no foreign transaction fees.
25% bonus point value for paid airfare:
You can use the points at a value of 1.25 cents each towards airfare. The 60,000 signup points are enough for $750 of paid airfare.
Added benefits for a killer Citi ThankYou combo:
The Citi Rewards+® Card has no annual fee and automatically rounds up rewards earned on every purchase to the nearest 10 points, meaning you would earn 10 points on a $0.50 Amazon balance reload!
The Rewards+ card also offers double points on $6K in annual spending at supermarkets. And you will get 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 15 months.
It also offers a 10% points rebate when you redeem points, up to a 10K points rebate per year!
While the Rewards+ card doesn’t transfer points into airline miles, if you also have a Citi Premier® Card Card you can transfer those points into miles and get a 25% added value for paid airfare. Best of all you’ll also get the 10% rebate when you transfer points into miles or book paid airfare!
Points earned from the $495/year Citi Prestige card don’t have added value for paid airfare, but they do if you also have a Citi Premier® Card Card. That means you can earn 5 points per dollar on airfare and restaurants with Prestige, 3 points per dollar on other travel and gas with Premier, and 2 points per dollar with Premier, plus get 25% added value for paid airfare.

Their 50k signup bonus had first year AF waived. Dont see anything about first year being waived. Basically paying $95 for an extra 10k points…
primary coverage for rentals?
Primary outside of the US, secondary in the US.
Hi, how do I receive the bonus with an existing citi premier card? I called citi and they had no clue what I’m talking about.

if you downgrade the citi thank you to the no annual fee does that reset the 24 month clock? or only when you open or close a card?
Can Citi points be combined with a spouse?
Will a product change from Double cash to Citi Rewards+ make make me ineligible for the Premier bonus?
TY
how come when I signed up for the 60k citi and annual fee waiver for the first year back when you posted that citi signup offer back in june 2018 did they nt charge me the annual fee? a rep told me i wont be getting charged the annual fee till 2020? 2 years after i signed up? i thought you get charged after a year
Hey Dan, not entirely related but I was curious – what credit card do you use for general purchases (not travel/dining/gas) when you’re outside of America? In America the freedom unlimited is the obvious choice, but I can’t decide if its best to use my SPG, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Citi premier when I’m in Israel. Thanks!
Can I continuously reload 50 cents of Amazon balance to rack up points?
that would not be smart
Just got this card 2 weeks ago for the 50k and tried calling to get the 60k and they refuse after multiple hucas. Any ideas?
on the bright side, they waived your first year $95. It comes out pretty much even…
is it 2 years from when you opened your card or 2 years from when the bonus posted for example if the bonus posted 3 months after card opening do you have to wait 24 months from when the bonus posted
Hi, I’m a little late to the game here….If I’m already a citi preferred cardholder, will those preferred thank you points “turn into” Premier points (with ability to transfer to airline mileage programs etc.) once I apply for a new premier card and link the 2 Thank You points accounts?
able to pool points between spouse?
