It could be that I am just being dense, however could someone please explain why this is better than just buying a fire 10 which is on sale for $99, and then just downloading one of the good rated photo display apps, and then finding a decent stand for a few bucks plugging it in and leaving it there? It’s unclear to me why I would spend more money for something that only does one thing. What is better about this is someone could explain I would be grateful.

In for one for Grandma. We have this frame for over a year in the kitchen and it is far beyond any other digital frame we have had. Easy to share albums with and beautiful to look at.
Says there’s a built in motion sensor that enters power saving mode when no motion is detected. Can it be disabled?
