This Bosch is 500 watts, vs 800 watts that previous sale items have been (2019).
A lot of comments reported they got the 500 watt version for a while now. I can’t verify but perhaps they changed something and the listing was old.

We have received notice from Bosch® Germany that UL® “Underwriters Laboratory” has changed the way they rate motors being sold in the U.S. market. As a result, the motor used in the Bosch Universal Plus® mixer has been evaluated and re-rated from 800 Watts to 500 Watts. Please note, there has not been any actual change to the motor itself, it is the same powerful Bosch® motor that has been used for years and years inside the Universal Plus. The only change that has occurred is in the rating issued by UL.

That’s what I use most as well on my old machine (27 y/o!). But I desperately need a new one by now. Will the stainless old bowl (and dough hook) work with this model?
It should.
The stainless bowl can handle heavier, denser doughs (such as my wife’s challah dough recipe) much better than the white plastic one.
We’ve used the metal and plastic bowls interchangeably. (We went out and bought the metal bowl specifically to accommodate challah dough)
Is this the mixer people use for bread and challah dough? The old version came with a metal bowl and a different dough hook (it hooked into the bottom giving more room in the bowl for the dough). I would love to get it, but only if I know it serves my purpose?
