On March 25th I covered the news that Amazon was offering Prime members a $5.99 Prime Pantry discount on $6.01+ Amazon orders for choosing no-rush shipping instead of 2 day shipping.

That promotion was short-lived.  Prime members will once again earn a $1 eBooks, Digital Music, or Instant Video Credit on $1.01+ Amazon orders for choosing no-rush shipping instead of 2 day shipping. Credits earned now will expire 07/31/15.

You can check your Amazon promo credit via this link. Just click “check your balance” to locate your Amazon instant video/MP3 credits.

Unfortunately the only way to find the expiration of your credits is by looking in the original email that informs you of the credit posting.

Credits earned in the past that are still in your account will either expire on 04/30/15 or 05/04/14.

You only get one $1 credit per Amazon order that you place, so breaking up purchases into smaller orders will net you more credits.

You can get a free trial of Amazon Prime here. A prime trial is also free with Amazon Mom (which also gets you 20% off diapers among other benefits) or Amazon Student.  Or you can always share Amazon prime for a fraction of the regular cost in this DDF thread!

Amazon offers free shipping with $35+ orders or get free next-day shipping on all orders with a free trial of Amazon Prime. Prime members can share benefits with a Household member here, allowing them to double up on Amazon Prime promos!  A 6 month trial and discounted Prime membership is available with Amazon Student. EBT/Medicaid Cardholders can save on Prime Membership here.

Dan, how about putting a poll on which of the two people would prefer, $1.00 eBooks-Digital Music-Instant Video Credit or the $5.99 prime pantry credit. It would be interesting to see what people enjoy more.
Thanks for all the great work and have a Chag Kosher V’sameach!
😉

@Work-for-ur-muny: I just got a FREE music CD, sells on amazon for 8.99< sells in jewish stores for $16-$18 and I PAID ZERO! just waited a day or two extra for no rush shipping! Dans The Man! Thanks

Moe

@Hindy: Used after expires? How does that work?

@Hindy: You were able to use these credits for a physical CD?

Hindy

@Moe: dont know. forgot to do it last night, bought amazon mp3 music today and it worked. 🙂

I bought it online, amazon saves it to ur amazon music app, you can then download the music on a CD (I used a computer) or just play it straight from the app.

@Hindy: So do you still prefer the music credit over the pantry? Isn’t the pantry toward more household essentials and even more money?

There is a reason why they stopped the pantry credit. It must’ve been costing them quite a penny on items already at discount price. They may be stupid but not crazy…

Nikki

Is there anywhere to see how many free pantry credits towards shipping you have? I should have two but when I go to checkout, its not taking off the shipping…

jake

@Work-for-ur-muny: disagree with this. They probably stopped it because no one was using it. I personally did the free credit for the first few items, but after that I just asked for item within 2 days.

Chaim

I got two of them, apparently only good for $5.99 off each purchase, meaning free shipping on that. Not worth it unless you just don’t care about the shipping time (like me 😉
