Hilton, which already operates the highly rated Conrad Maldives and Waldorf Astoria Maldives is back with another Maldivian resort, the Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa, opening July 1st.

The overwater villas found in the Maldives and Bora Bora are the stuff that dreams are made of. You wake up surrounded by the warm ocean which is teeming with incredible sealife. There’s something magical about taking the steps from your villa into the ocean and watching the stars at night.

The Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa is located a 20 minute speedboat ride from MLE airport, which will cost $300 for ages 13+, $150 for ages 6-12, and free for those under 6. Many hotels in the Maldives require a much more expensive and longer seaplane, which only operates during daylight hours. On the other hand, those farther flung hotels are also typically more secluded and have better snorkeling and diving.

An overwater villa with a private pool at the Hilton Maldives Amingiri can cost $1,450 per night after taxes:

It can also be booked for 110,000 Hilton points per night or 88,000 points per night for Hilton elites or cardholders on a 5 night stay.

You can instantly transfer 44K or 55K AMEX points into 88K or 110K Hilton points at a 1:2 ratio. At 44K AMEX points, that’s a value of 3.3 cents per point and at 55K AMEX points, that’s a value of 2.57 cents per point.

You can transfer AMEX points from cards like:

Hilton often sells points for 0.5 cents each, though currently they are 1 cent each. Buying 88K points on sale would cost $440 per night, while 110K points would cost $550 per night.

Help! What am I missing here?

I plan on visiting the Hilton Amingiri resort in January I contacted them in regards to kosher food and this is what they responded.

All Kosher guests have to be advised to bring their own pan and knife

· If any Kosher guests would like to arrange kosher items, they have to be requested at least 04 weeks before arrival as all the kosher products are imported from abroad and they are not available locally. All items will be charged pre-arrival per day/per meal/ per portion-wise.

· In case a Kosher guest would like to reheat his food and have it in one of our outlets will be charged $ 50++ per person

· In case Kosher guests would like to send their food to reheat through IVD and send it back to their villa they will be charged $ 50++ per person

· In case Kosher guests ask for any items they will be charged as per our a la carte menu.

I booked a one bedroom over water pool villa in January for 110,000 Hilton points a night. However the speedboat transfer will cost $300+%23 tax per person. On the website they currently have a offer for a free transfer for 2. I contacted them and they said it’s only available for paid stays starting at $1200 a night. I was wondering if anyone knows if a free night is considered a award booking or a paid night?
