American Backtracks On Daily Tel Aviv Flights

Last week I wrote about American filing to increase their Dallas-Tel Aviv flights form 3x weekly to daily, just a month after they started selling tickets on the route.

I noted how odd it seemed to bulk up on flights for the winter season.

Sure enough, American has backtracked and cancelled the increase to daily flights. It will still operate with 3 weekly flights.

@xJonNYC attributes it to a fat finger mistake. Seems like a strange mistake to make, but I suppose that’s how most error fares happen as well. So, when can we expect a price mistake like predecessor USAirways had to Israel before AA cancelled the route post-merger.

Or at least some wide open business class saver award space? I flew my whole family to Israel in business class when that happened in 2015. My brother JJ did the same and took his in-laws to Israel for their first time. A repeat would be great šŸ˜€

What do you make of American’s mistake?
