Still save the ~$40 tax with this deal if you don’t ship to CA.
In NY you have to pay the sales tax with your tax return. So you are not saving ~$40.00 you are just deferring it. My guess is that it’s like that in other states as well.
I’ve read that less than 1% of people add those to their return.
But good for you if you report all of your online purchases!
