I know this won’t matter to many, but crash ratings on this car seat are poor compared to others in the cheaper categories. Convenient, yes? Worth it, no?
For anyone who has slight back issues, this is the worst car seat for them.
I saw someone pushing one yesterday and it looked a bit awkard. Is it b/c the handle is short?
The average infant car seat weighs between 7-10 pounds. The Doona weighs 16.5 pounds. Add a 10+ pound baby and you are picking up a 25+ pounds car seat from the ground and inserting it into the base in the vehicle. The way the design is engineered is such that the Doona has to be collapsed to ground level in order to be placed into the car. Whereas other infant seats disconnect from the snap and go at waist length of a person and transferred into to the car.
