I have this item. to do anything, including updates, you have to use either a USB or an SD card. I use a 64 SD card and everything works well.
What do you mean, when you say, “to do anything”, what are you referring to?
Read the specs. It has no built in hard drive, therefore you’ll need an ad card or USB drive
