How do you know Ink gives 5%??

I made a PDG purchase less than a week ago and got 5x.

@exShorYoshuvGuy: For some reason it gets categorized as “Utilities” so Chase considers it like a cable/telecom bill and give 5X points with the Ink card. I believe this only happens when buying ebay gift cards using paypal. Too bad it doesn’t happen always when using Paypal 🙂

Should happen with any purchase from Paypal digital gifts.

Anyway to bypass the limit?

Originally there was no limit. Seems like with these gift cards deals if you’re very quick you can get in before one is set.

The Ebay terms explicitly state that the giftcards can’t be used to buy more. Does this only work to buy giftcards if the ones being purchased are at a discount? Just curious.

Can you use staples gift cards to buy visa gift cards at staples? Because they (PDG) are selling $75 staples gift cards for $65 plus get the 5% back with Ink then use those to but visa gift cards at Staples???

to get 5%, do i need to buy GC from Paypal or from Ebay directly?

i bought one, and got the code later. but ebay does not allow me to use it for now, how long do i need to wait?

I bought one , got the code , waited about an hour and bought a second one with the code from the first one , so essentially $105 ebay gift card for $95 !

Buy any giftcard from Paypal Digital Gifts also known as PDG. It’s a seller on eBay and use your ink card through paypal to pay.

For others, DO NOT EVEN TRY buying multiple giftcards by creating multiple ebay accounts… they will eventually connect the dots and trace all to you and shut your accounts down (after 3 warnings). Just buy 2 and be happy.

and it does take few hours for the code to be usable.

and no, you can’t use staples gift cards to buy any other gift cards.

Its been more than two hours and i still cant use it yet

@josh: YMMV. The register isn’t hard coded to not take gift cards in store. It depends on the cashier.

it says it takes up to 4 hours for your code to work, once you receive it
