We have a 1.0 HP Waste King in one sink and a 1.0 HP InSinkerator in the other. The Insinkerator is actually a few years newer. It has never been as good at chewing up the food and clearing the liquid as the WK, for which we paid $120 on Amazon in 2013. But note that the current deal is for the 0.5 HP model.
I have had various disposals for over 40 years and am absolutely thrilled with my 1HP Insinkerator.
