Why is it that I can never find an item at the price you show it to be. You listed this at 8:48 this morning. I went on line for it at 9:30, and the price was 10% higher. It’s not the 50 cents. It’s that I never find an item at the price you show it to be. Sometimes it’s later that day. But this is 45 minutes after you list it. It makes me generally reluctant to even to the site and check it out, as I know the price is never the actual one that I’ll find. You can say, so what. But that’s not the way we ever did business, relying upon our customers to know that we quoted was never the actual price. You still do a great job, but this element could use some fixin’. (Easy fast, boys)
Lots to unpack here.
1. Prices are accurate as of the time of posting.
2. We don’t sell the items! We don’t control pricing! As much as we’d love to make price mistakes happen when people ask, we don’t do that, we just find them.
3. Amazon and other stores lower the prices of items they have too much stock of. Once those items start to sell they have algorithms that will raise the prices and that can happen within minutes of us posting a deal.
4. The hottest deals can sell out within 30 seconds of us sharing it. That doesn’t mean it never existed, it often means that hundreds of readers got an insane price and got it right away.
