In for 1. Thanks @Dan and Shlomo. Anyone have experience with these to say if they are any good?

Ben

Bought one a few months ago in another Dan’s deals. I used it on last week’s storm. Did an ok job. This cannot compare with a gas powered machine (especially a 2 stage engine) which I also own, but costs a lot more.

It struggled with the heavy wet snow. The battery lasted about 35 minutes. I am on a corner property so that’s not a sufficient amount of time. I think if you just need to do a walkway and the sidewalk in front of the house then it’s enough. I am considering getting a second set of batteries to swap out. It is very light weight and quieter than a gas powered one.

Is it able to handle the snow when it turns icey?

Ben

Wasn’t icy when I tried it. It has metal augurs which in theory could chop the ice but I am really not sure.

Emes

Is it self propelled?

Ben

No it’s not self propelled.
