Can someone explain to me as a relatively inexperienced traveler who is about to fly internationally, what’s with the the different sized suitcases?
20 inch is carry on size. 24 inch medium checked bag. Best for heavier items but not bulky since you need heavier ones if you want to max out your 50lb limit. Also good if you can’t fit things in a carryon but you still don’t want a large suitcase to move around.
28 inch large checked bag. Useful for bringing bulkier items that take up more space but not necessarily weight. Can easily exceed 50lb with the space. For example if you’re flying business many airlines give 70lb limit so you can really pack in a lot of weight and space here. The other advantage of these is they pack one inside other. If for example one way you don’t have a lot of stuff but return you do you can just pack 3 in 1 and travel with one suitcase and on the way back travel with 3 (1 carryon 2 checked bags).
The silver is at $209, though it’s temporarily out of stock. I ordered the silver then had customer service switch the color to black, for the same price as the silver!
(It wasn’t technically a price adjustment, he cancelled my first order, had me reorder the black, and told me that once I get the luggage I should call them back and they’ll refund me the difference. He wrote it in the notes.)
