People should be aware of the Shabbos issues with this. Also, you can’t use this for continuous monitoring
What Shabbos issue?
If it’s like the original you can set it to deactivate during shabbos….
With the pro which is also hardwired-powered, I built in a light switch between the doorbell and the chimebox to turn off the doorbell for shabbos
Does anyone know how this compares with the ring pro?
We cover the eye on Shabbos.
A lot easier to have it connected to a smart plug. Thats what i have. And turns off for Shabbos, automatically, every week.
I turn off Motion Detection and the ringer from my phone app for Shabbos. Very simple, you just have to remember to do it Erev Shabbos.
What’s the difference between this and the RingPro?
This version does not ring on your existing chime, you have to get the Ring Chime if you want it to ring on dedicated chime
