Can this be used on shabbos ?
Junk. Save your money. The nut at the inside bottom deteriorates and creates a rusty scum.
ALL my urns get that nasty scum on the bottom. Have you had better luck with any specific urns that won’t get cruddy inside? Thanks

Ordered it last week, tried it out on Shabbos. Works fine, but not piping hot water like some of my others. Good enough unless you like a very very hot cup of coffee, then try another brand. Another minor issue is the spout is not set high enough to fit a 15 oz mug underneath it without tilting it a lot (unless you put it on the very edge of a counter which isn’t that safe), so you will need to fill two smaller short cups to then fill up your normal sized mug.
A friend once made a litte “coat” out of quilted fabric for my urn and the water is piping hot every Shabbos. It got old so I located a “crock pot cover” with around the same dimensions, that also does the trick. Good luck

Does that mean that the water will not heat on shabbos as that is the major issue when it comes to shabbos with the urns sometimes they just randomly start heating he water ip on shabbos
