Jack

Wonder if you could just fast forward it to the end

Dan

That’s what I tried. We shall see.

Common Sense

Why are you encouraging ppl to watch movies??? Let’s say there is something kosher on it, but they’ll be browsing a site with so much filth. Losing your kedusha for $5? Is everything mutar to save a buck?

Chesky Jones

Money is the biggest Avodah Zarah.

Sir burn masks

This is unsophisticated thinking and annoying to boot.

Common Sense

There is a word for a “sophisticated thinker” Maskil.

Mike

I turned on peppa pig and fast forwarded to the end. My kedusha is doing just fine…

yair

as long as you don’t eat peppa, your kedusha should remain intact.

zvi

when I was a kid olameinu had to stop Mendel the Mouse because the Lubabitchers made a fuss about him being a non-kosher animal. Now this Lubabitch site is pushing watching pigs?

Oy

Interesting, since olameinu was going to stop for lack of funds, but it was the lubavitcher rebbe that gave money to save it

Dani

Wow you must be bored

yair

ah, the kedusha just drips from this comment. It just oooozes kedusha.

Shlomo

So, if you have a problem with it, then obviously don’t do the deal. That said, Amazon customizes based on your history, so if you see something “not kosher”, that’s off what you did earlier.

Dave

“Losing your kedusha”, okay, hold your horses. Do you go into supermarkets? Do you get oil changes for your car? Do you roam Walmart, Target, or Amazon’s websites? You should probably avoid all of those places, because people like you actively look for the filth in life. The world isn’t one large Bais Medrash, and ultimately not every life scene is appropriate or shul. Responsible others learn mussar and attend shuirim on how to combat the inevitable challenges.

kosher video

common sense-feel free to skip this deal but thank you Dan!

Y

Will it work on mobile where it automatically opens the video on the Amazon video app?

Shortest

Link to the shortest video?

b

just left peppa pig running on a tab. simple solution

kerrbro

nice 1, thx

Miriam Goldberg

That was lovely – thanks.

overthinkers

put it in a new tab turn down the volume and finito

WonderingYid

Not caving in to these people. At one point Amazon sent me a post card via snail mail to watch Prime Video.

Jetblue?

It won’t show me to watch a video unless i download the amazon movie app

nissim

When does this offer expire?

nissim

And does it work if we watch one episode of a tv show instead of a full movie?
thanks

Sylvana Haber

I thought this was a “let’s save money” site. Not a “let’s give mussar” one. Everything has it’s place and time

Miriam Goldberg

FYI, the fine print also claims that: “Offer only valid for eligible Amazon customers located and with a billing address in the United States who have received this offer directly from Amazon through email or online display advertisements.”

Re some of the comments: a) Dan does not represent all of Lubavitch so, Zvi, even if Lubavitch did that to Mendel the Mouse when you were little, it has no relevance here. b) as to all the rest – there are many different ways of looking at life, Amazon, video, etc. If you can’t handle those things, then stay away from them and that’s fine. But your way is not the only way. I was taught a long time ago that people like to focus on others’ ruchniyus and their own gashmiyus – and it should be the reverse. Please focus on other’s gashmiyus
and your own ruchniyus.

Doug

Lol, some of these comments are insane. I’ve read the OT and I don’t remember seeing anything about not watching Amazon Prime Videos in there… ever think that the interpretation you’re following might be a bit…shall we say…WRONG!!!

danthecan

Any “kosher” videos? R’ Berel Wein’s videos on Rambam and Rashi and his history videos used to be included in Prime, but not anymore.

Dave

Umm…. cartoons?

Vancouver Boy

For those asking for a “KOSHER VIDEO” on Prime.

This series focuses on Jewish Law
