For crying out loud, no Dr. Suess books have been banned or canceled. The publisher has merely stopped printing six of the least profitable books (https://www.marketwatch.com/story/dr-seuss-is-not-canceled-but-six-of-his-books-are-being-shelved-over-racist-images-11614704645). If a children’s book included drawings of man with a beard, long nose, and a bag of gold coins, would you be upset if the publisher discontinued printing it?
But if the issue is that it was a ‘man’ then yes we can be upset
yes, we would be upset at such a picture. BUT, we don’t complain about imagined microaggressions each and every second like others do…
I have little sympathy for those who imagine they’re victims of microaggressions…including the snowflakes who think their rights are somehow being trampled by an independent publisher discontinuing these books and claiming it’s “cancel culture”.
These books were not canceled as a result of a chinese person complaining about them. and nobody is saying that their rights are being trampled on. We are only saying that it is ridiculous to cancel these books.
your statement looks like it makes sense until you actually click on the link that you provided which clearly shows that the books were cancelled and banned .obviously the companies decision is based off of public pressure to cancel culture. i think curious george books would have been cancelled long ago due to the TERIBBLE story of a man kidnapping a monkey from the jungle and he even smokes tobacco in the book.the only thing saving curios george is the centrality of a single man dressed all in yellow.

It really is sad to see all the comments complaining about cancel culture and making fun of real issues that are plaguing our world.
Dr. Seuss did not get cancelled. A few of his books that feature racist caricatures or no longer going to be printed.
How would all of you react to a publishers continuing to print books featuring anti-semitic undertones? Would you be calling people snowflakes for wanting it to be stopped?
It seems to me that conservatives are the ones who have become snowflakes; easily offended by any progress that our world is attempting to make.
