What does this product do? Besides being a 5.01 money maker, that is…..
If you build your own computer it’s the part of the computer that converts the AC power from your outlet into DC power that can be used by the components in your computer. If you don’t need it and don’t wanna go through the rigamarole of a mail in rebate for $5 I would just move on.

Just an FYI for anybody who doesn’t know exactly what they are doing in the tech world, 600 watts is not powerful enough for modern graphics cards, even a mid-tier card would need more than this. This is only a good power supply if you are not planning on putting a modern discrete GPU in a PC, and I mean like I said a mid-tier one. The high tier cards like a 4090 for example requires 850 watt minimum, and they are already making a thousand watt psus in anticipation of the next generation of power supply needs.
