For many, this Prime Day was a disappointment. But some DansDeals readers got incredible deals.
One of the best deals this Prime Day was found on DDF, the DansDeals Forums. A deal was posted there about an Amazon Prime Small Business Sweepstakes. Normally we don’t post sweepstakes on the main site of DansDeals, as those are a dime a dozen. As it turned out, that worked out quite well for DDF members.
Members there have reported receiving thousands of dollars worth of Amazon Gift Card for free! Many thought it was a scam when they started getting emails about winning mega gift cards, but soon enough those gift cards were added to their Amazon account balance. If you’re not yet active on DDF, you should be!
On Prime Day itself, readers scored a 50″ 4k Fire TV for just $99.99 and lots of free items after Credit Card point discounts stacked with the pre-discounted price. The day after Prime Day hundreds of readers got a 15′ trampoline for free!
Additionally there were great deals from Walmart with $400 grills for $99 and much more. Many readers also received 140 Nespresso pods for free!
DDF Member Euclid reports that he has a fine Prime day, with a $100 profit reselling the TV deal, $250 from reselling the trampoline deal, and he received $900 in Amazon Gift Cards thanks to the sweepstakes posted on DDF.

Lots of great deals only on DDF. And the best part is it’s free to join!
The DDF interface is kind of scary to me. Doesn’t seem very intuitive, and super hard to follow threads/group discussions.
(Perhaps I just need more time to familiarize, dunno)

I was wary of DDF for years, until I joined anyway. Once you get used you realize how simple and user friendly it really is.
That trampoline was just set up. On the low side it’s worth $250, and on the high side let’s say $650? Not too bad.

I bought a lot of stuff on Prime Day but apparently none of it was from small businesses. Too bad it wasn’t posted here on Twitter.

I got $400 from the small business sweepstakes in three separate winnings.
Just had another $500 deposited into my account! I had to fill out a W-9, but they posted the gift card a day after I uploaded it. Total of $900!

The Amazon sweepstakes was on the Amazon home page. That’s how I registered. I won 1- $100 GC and 1- $50 gift card. Not too shabby.

I won by not spending any money this prime day.
I did OK. Got lots of things shipped free to Israel for good discounts. It helped that the $49 free shipping to Israel was calculated before the discounts, so I had a number of orders that shipped out at $30, $35, etc. The only thing that I found a bit of a wash was the store gift cards. I was hoping for some 20% childrensplace, and didn’t see any 🙂
I never got the free 140 nespresso pods. It has said processing since I ordered it 2 weeks ago. Not that I expected it to work out. Interested if people actually got it.

I ordered s&s items discounted during prime day but for some reason those orders updated to the current price- not sure what i did wrong, could be i switched payment method to gc , since that wasn’t an option when placing the order..
