Any concerns for tolaim when using this?

Just hang a sign no trespassing. I trust the insects would respect your wishes. I once owned a older version. I planted some strawberries without a sign it was infested in no time.

There is also concerns about “Hilchot Kilayim” Google for more information.

No. Except once i found my garden infested, turned out i had brought home some leafy vegetables (to use the roots), left it nearby, and the bugs apparently moved in.
But its not practical as a source of herbs. It just grows too slowly and has only 6 plants.
In general, I’ve found the aerogarden (I’ve had a few over the years) to be disappointing. Often a seed pod or two doesn’t germinate, and although they send free replacements, by the time you put them in, they are 4 weeks behind the other ones in growth, which makes the whole thing unbalanced.
I keep hoping next time will be better….
