Use a Chase Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, or Sapphire/Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card/Sapphire Reserve and pay with the Chase Pay app at ShopRite stores or ShopRite.com from 12/1-12/31 and you’ll earn a total of 5 points per dollar. That’s a bonus of 4 points per dollar on Freedom and Sapphire or a bonus of 3.5 points per dollar on Freedom Unlimited, as that card normally earns 1.5 points per dollar. The bonus is limited to $400 in purchases per card.
Just ask the cashier to use their handheld scanner to scan the barcode on the Chase Pay app on your phone in order to pay with Chase Pay.

Tried to use this yesterday in shoprite of Howell. Neither cashier or manager could figure out how to scan qr code generated by chase pay! This was despite every checkout isle having signage for this promo!

They sell lots of gift cards Uber/eBay and a lot more the one next to my house did not have Amazon gift cards!
So I would assume you could buy gift cards and get five points per dollar with this Chase promo

How’d it work? Checkout just scanned your phone?
The cashier first tried swiping my phone on the conveyor belt scanner. When that didn’t work, she used a handheld scanner and it worked right away.

How does this work at self-scan? I don’t recall seeing the Chase Pay option on the payment screen.
