YES! with my 2 marriot credit cards I get 30 night credit which means with this promo I only need 10 paid nights to hit Elite status for next year

Practically
I’m platinum elite.. underwhelmed
In US status means nothing, I almost never get an upgrade with titanium and the food at Marriott is kind of Walmart snacks.
Things change completely abroad. I stay at Marriott and JW Marriott and the breakfast and the lounge are unbelievable.
And then next year they will invent a new tier to steal your status and dilute your points. The whole program is a joke.
It didn’t work for me. I will call Marriott and report back, but here is the message I got:

Update: I opened my Marriott app today and the promotion appeared. This was not an issue with my rewards preferences, just a timing issue.

I can confirm it worked for me last year in March. Booked in December 22, signed up afterwards for the same promotion, and got double elite nights after my stay.
