Several DDF members are reporting that their 90K Iberia Avios have posted from last week’s ridiculously generous promotion!

Unfortunately no DDF members have been able to transfer their promo Iberia Avios to British Airways. If the Avios can’t be transferred to BA, you’ll have to redeem your Iberia Avios by 12/1 before they expire. You can use them to book for travel after 12/1.

I can’t even login to my account as it’s locked. When I clicked to reset my password it said I had to fill out a form and email them proof of identity, which I just did and am now playing the waiting game.

Other DDF members are locked out as well, while others can login but have not yet received the Avios yet.

Hopefully everyone will get their Avios, we’ll just have to have some patience for the dust to settle.

My points posted today as well.

DP: My account has been open for quite some time, and I have transferred miles from my BA to IB in the past.
The system gave me an error now when trying to transfer these IB miles to BA,

Trying to book an award. For some reason NYC appears only as a destination and not as an origin! How can you book flights originating in NYC?

Mendel

Wow, thanks! How does that work?

CHAIMSON

HOW DID YOU GET ALL ON ONE ACCOUNT? I ONLY GOT FOR ONE TICKET NOT FOR ALL OTHER 9.

READ INSTRUCTIONS? “For example, if a customer purchases tickets on Iberia.com for three people to fly from Seville to Madrid and two of the people are identified as Iberia Plus members during the purchase process, 9,000 Avios will be credited to both of these people within 10 days of the purchase. These two people must have redeemed at least 9,000 Avios by 1 December 2018, or this same amount of Avios will be withdrawn from their account.”

I had the same problem with the login many times in the past. After much frustration I was told that their website has compatibility issues with chrome and safari. Since then I’ve been using Firefox on my iPad and ie on my PC. Give it a try and lmk.

sam

my avios have posted and i already have the r/t business class Iberia flights booked. it was an existing account.

Steve

FM has a tip to get into a locked out account. Download the Iberia app and click on Forgot your PIN. You’ll be emailed a new pin. YMMV but it worked for me. (However, unfortunately my points didn’t post yet.)

Nhi

Tried this and it worked for me also. New account created during promotion. No points posted yet. Hopefully they will post soon.

im locked out of my account and I need identity to prove it but I used my younger brothers name and he is under 18 years , when signing up for an account can I still somehow get get it to unlock if I provide a picture of his passport? even if he is under 18? and what about buying tickets under your Hebrew name how would you be able to prove it?

Steve

I reset my password via the app and got a new pin sent right away. But no points. I booked all the flights on the app as opposed to website – would that make a difference?

mileagejunkie

No, I did the same since it was much quicker, got 90k.

Boaz

Has anyone else made a booking with their IB number and then have it missing from the reservation ? It shows up on my confirmation email, but not when I check it online. Still no points, I wonder if there is a correlation.

Jason

This happened to me. It was a new account. Yesterday I received the same email that Noah posted below.

I also previously contact Iberia on Twitter and they assured me I would still receive the miles.

ben

i contacted avios, they say there is currently a technical problem transfering from iberia, which will be fixed soon, today or tommorow hopefully

so i think they can be transferred to BA

ben

[Sophie] Hello, Sophie here, how can I help you today?
[ben] i want to please transfer with combine my avios
[ben] from my iberia account to my avios
[Sophie] Hi there, Ben I’m afraid the systems are down at the moment for transferring with Iberia, I do apologise, the best thing I can suggest is try and later or tomorrow. We are working to fix this as soon as possible.
[ben] you think it will only be a matter of hours? or are we talking about days or weeks?
[Sophie] LIkely days at most it should be fixed in the next couple of days.

I received this email:

Dear customer,

Thank you for your interest in the Iberia Plus programme.

It is a standard requirement of our programme to check the registration details for your Iberia Plus account. To help us do this, please email a copy of the official identity document you used for registration to clasica@iberia.es. The subject line of the email must include your Iberia Plus number in order for us to process it and you must send it to us by 31 July (GMT+2). If the documentation is not received before this date, we will be unable to register you for the Iberia Plus programme and you will not have access to any of the associated benefits.

If you took part in our recent 9,000 extra Avios promotion for the purchase of tickets at Iberia.com, please attach a copy of any tickets purchased during the period and send it to us by 31 July 2018 in order to collect your Avios.

Once we have verified your identification and proof of ticket purchase we will award the Avios due—as per the campaign terms and conditions—to your account.

Kind regards and we hope to see you on board again soon.

THATS WHAT I RECEIVED:
Dear customer,

We have noticed that several Iberia Plus accounts have recently been registered in your name. For your security, we have cancelled the duplicated accounts, leaving the original and oldest one active.

You can continue to enjoy all the benefits of the programme through this account. Likewise, if you took part in the 9,000 bonus Avios promotion for purchasing at Iberia.com from 21 to 24 June 2018, we will record the relevant Avios to your account.

If you have purchased a ticket associated with the cancelled account and would like a refund or would like to perform any other transaction regarding it, please contact us via email at clasica@iberia.es, including your Iberia Plus number in the subject line and stating:
Ticket number to be refunded (you can see the number in your confirmation email, starting 075-…).

Iberia Plus number associated with the ticket.
You may request a refund for the ticket at no extra cost until 31 July 2018 (GMT+2).

Kind regards
The Iberia Plus team
