The 5 star Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur has deluxe rooms pricing out at just 180 MYR ($45 USD) on must nights from May 13 until June 29. You can toggle the currency to USD on the top of the page.
You must search for 3 guests to view this rate. If you search for 2 guests the rate will be more than triple the price.
Daily buffet breakfast is included in the rate.

is it cancelable?
what does it mean by the last part about Dec 31st? does that mean any reservation between now and then (essentially all reservations?) or does it mean any reservation that includes Dec 31st? “No charge for reservations cancelled by 4pm, 48 hrs prior to arrival. Any cancellation for reservations through 31 December are non refundable”
That’s just for stays on 12/31.
Other stays should be refundable until 2 days before the stay.

A credit card is required at time of booking, no charges will be made until check-out. However full non-refundable deposit is required at point of booking for stays on 31 December.
Check-in is 2pm and check-out is 12pm.
I like how, for a few dollars more, you can get the business essentials package, which includes 50% discount on the mini bar. Breakfast for 2 and 3 pcs of laundry each day!
I got May 29 to June 1st
Just checked, looks dead; lowest price is 326MYR/n; that’s not bad (still double the price listed) but the best rates are definitely in the listed timeframe. It gets more expensive after that.

Look for the deluxe park view room. The other rooms on offer are much higher. I just got it to pop up for May 20-22nd right now for 3 Adults, at 4:39 PM EST

I stayed at this hotel more than a decade ago. It’s ok, but nothing like the Mandarin Oriental in other countries. It seems like the room type on sale is outdated and seriously needs imminent renovation.
Just book June 26th -29th 180 myr a night. THANKS

I got it yesterday for 4 nights, May 14th to 18th and received a confirmation from the hotel however, his morning I got the following message from the hotel:
We are writing to you regarding your reservation, confirmation ________ at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, check-in date 14-May-18, and check-out date 18-May-18. We understand that you have booked the daily average rate of MYR 180 ++. However, due to technical complications that we are currently experiencing on our reservation system, it is with regret that we inform you that the rate is incorrect. The correct amount for your reservation is MYR 2,956 ++ for 2 persons excluding the additional fee of MYR 180++ for the 3rd occupant for the duration of your stay. The daily Bed & Breakfast rate for a weekday is MYR 739++ (Sunday through Thursday) and for a weekend MYR 639++.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this situation has cause you and for that we will extend the stay for 3rd occupant at no additional fee. If you are acceptable of our offer, we will make the changes and send a new confirmation letter, detailing the correct daily rate and at no additional fee for the 3rd occupant.
We are working on the technical complications that we are currently experiencing to correct the information on our site until it is correct. We thank you for your understanding and your patience on this matter. Please do contact us upon receiving this email.

They basically cancelled my reservation this morning.
