Register To Fly Twice On Alaska Airlines Across The Country And Earn Elite Status

You can earn Alaska MVP status for taking 2 round trips, or MVP Gold status after 4 round trips on qualifying coast to coast flights between 3/6-5/31.

This offer doesn’t require that you have competing elite status with another airline. If you do, you can match that status to Alaska here.

MVPs earn 50% bonus miles, are eligible for upgrades 48 hours before departure, get 2 free checked bags, and more.

MVP Golds earn 100% bonus miles, are eligible for upgrades and companion upgrades 72 hours before departure, get a free premium beverage in coach, get 2 free checked bags, get free same-day flight changes, get waived ticket change fees, and more.

Status will expire 12/31/19 unless you qualify for a renewal based on flying 20K miles in 2019 for MVP or 40K miles for MVP Gold.

Do you have to actually be a resident of those states? Or just fly from those airports?

Odds of United being willing to offer a similar challenge to compete?

I wonder if you’re already two RTs away from MVP if they’d bump you up to Gold?

The resident requirement is a bad joke for those whose home airport has Alaska as the largest carrier (SEA, PDX, etc). Post merger AS has rapidly lost most of my business to UA/DAL, but they still get some, we still use our AS companion passes every year for the family trip to Hawaii for hanukkah.

Last month UA got me to the East coast during bad weather when Alaska was canceling flights left and right @ PDX to SFO and SEA. Despite lengthy delays to and from SFO amazingly I arrived at destination only one hour later than orginally scheduled instead of 12-24hrs.

would you say a mileage run worth it in this case? can you match this statues to other airline programs?

joseph

can you combine to earn like a flight from newark and one flight from jfk?

MosheD
