David Neeleman’s Breeze Airways is continuing its rapid growth in previously underserved markets. The JetBlue founder started his latest airline in May 2021 with E-190 jets and a rapidly expanding fleet of A220s. His goal is to connect cities and routes that other airlines have overlooked while offering industry leading customer service and friendliness in the skies.

The airline has 3 fare types. Nicest books into first class, Nicer books into extra legroom, and Nice books into standard seating. Here is what’s included with each fare type:

The A220s has 36 first class seats, called “Nicest” seating, in a two-by-two configuration at the front of the plane. It has 10 “Nicer” extra legroom seats and 80 “Nice” seats in a two-by-three seat configuration. First class seats will feature a whopping 39″ of seat pitch and 20.5″ wide seats and a footrest.

Family seating is free on all fares.

Breeze first class “Nicest” seat:

You can download the Breeze app for iOS or Android, signup for an account, and instantly get 500 BreezePoints, worth $5 for airfare.

Breeze flights can be cancelled up to 15 minutes before departure at no charge, with the funds valid for 2 years.

The A220s have in-seat AC and USB power.

The airline tells DansDeals that speedy Viasat Ka-band WiFi will begin to be beta tested on the A220s in the coming weeks.

As with airlines like Allegiant, Frontier, and Spirit, you can save even more by purchasing flights at the airport. Officially that’s only available on Tuesday, though readers have said that it also works on other days.

Will you take advantage of this sale on new routes? Have you flown on Breeze yet?

What’s a one stop (no plane change) from ORF-RDU look like? A Dunkin’ and a gas fill up at an I-95 rest stop in Emporia, VA? Lol

Shmelke

Watch out for the cops in Emporia

Cb

Flew drom lax to hpn, nicest is like domestic first sans meal. Note flight is from tom bradley west which is only accessed by bus from T2 factor in for extra time. No lounge.

Juke

CLE can qualify as an undeserved market to many non-vacation destinations. #fact

whYME

Meh, I’d be a lot more interested if he was recreating the early years of Jetblue instead of making a better Spirit.

Frequent traveler

Still no JFK or LGA? Sorry, don’t waste our time.

Moe

Yeah! The whole world only exists in Brooklyn! If it doesn’t go to JFK then it may as well serve the moon to mars.

JoeSchmo

Thx Cb. I booked that same route for an upcoming flight. I’m looking forward to trying it and wish the airline success.

OD

dan can you get them to enter Trenton?

Michael

If he can do HPN to FLL than I will definitely start using him!

Danny29

I am a little nervous about trying out this new airline.
The reviews online seem terrible. Any firsthand knowledge on how it is?

Mk

Has anyone had experience flying this airline? What happens if they need to cancel? Is it like spirit, will I have to wait a few days to fly home?

Be forewarned about Breeze at LAX. Currently, Breeze utilizes Terminal 1.5, which is what I call the “fake” terminal between Terminal 1 (Southwest) and Terminal 2. Once you check-in, you will be bussed to the mid-field section of the Tom Bradley International terminal. Once you have checked-in at Terminal 1.5, you could always make the far walk, or take the shuttle down to Bradley from Terminal 1 and clear security. The nasty part is that once you clear security at the Bradley terminal, you then have to go downstairs and walk the very, very long underground tunnel to get out to the mid-field terminal. Allow yourself PLENTY of extra time as your aircraft WILL NOT be departing/arriving from any of the gates at Terminal 1!

Breeze is not the only airline relegated to Terminal 1.5 for check-in and forced to use the mid-field gates at the far away Bradley terminal. Currently Allegiant, Air Transat, Cayman Airways, Lynx Air, Norse, Sun Country and Viva Aerobus are forced to use this crazy and time-killing set-up at LAX. What a pain for travelers.
