I see you don’t know either

Technically it’s 2 months and 7 days… As per their fine print.

E

Once ordered through them, the price you see on the menu online may not be the final price you pay once delivered. When I called customer service about it they said that the prices might be an rough estimate or older prices. In my opinion that’s really devious, dishonest, with limited transparency. Oh, and they added their service fee on the final bill, not the initial bill. Basically, you are working with a rough estimate.

I’ve use Postmates a few times a month for the past year. The estimate is pretty much always dead on. Nothing devious going on here.

So I had a very different experience than you. I ordered from The Green Chickpea in Newark, NJ. Shawarma for $9.95, fine. Free trial for delivery, fine. Total estimate was exactly $9.95 (I found it strange that tax wasn’t included, but ok I buy it). Order get’s picked up, final total is about $17. I call them up, and they tell me there is a $3.50 service charge, about $0.75 tax, plus about another $2.75 for the Shawarma because the price at the restaurant was actually higher than what they listed on their website. Yeah, I was upset and found it distasteful. (It was of no fault of the restaurant at all)

anything kosher?

Becky

I see Hungarian Kosher (grocery store) and Romanian Kosher Sausage Company (no introduction needed, or you need a visit to Chicago) there, which is AWESOME… has anyone used the “order anything, we’ll send someone to get it for you” option on Postmates? I’m interested in hearing your experience… extra fees, hiccups, etc?

E

Consider reading my issues with Postmates above. Also to add, my fleishig meal came without any kashrus tape or labeling around it, leaving it exposed for anyone to tamper with the contents. Perhaps each establishment is different with it.
