50K points is enough for more than 11 free zone 1 short-haul flights, more than 6 free zone 2 short-hauls flights, or 5 free zone 3 flights with no fuel surcharges, no close-in fees, and cancellations that cost just $5.60.
Zone 1 includes flight between New York and places like Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Montreal, Pittsburgh, or Toronto or between Miami and the Bahamas or Cancun. It’s also enough to fly from Melbourne to Sydney, or to many cities within Europe. Zone 2 includes flights between New York and Chicago or Florida, from LA to Cabo, or from JFK to Bermuda. Zone 3 includes flights between Tel Aviv and Germany or Austria, Chicago to LA, Hong Kong to Singapore, or JFK to Cancun, S. Maarten, or S. Juan.

@Dan — when I signed up for the Marriott Visa, it cones with a free night, but that seems to expire within the first 6 months, correct?
I seemed to have missed the boat on that.
I applied for both at the same time and got a letter in the mail informing me I was approved for Marriott but not BA because “Apply for too many at once”. Should I call up? What can I do?

People… do your own search instead of waiting to be spoon fed with an answer. Google is your answer.
1. Read the post and understand what Dan is pointing out.
2. Read the terms and condition of the offer before signing up.
3. If something is not stated in Dan’s post or terms and condition of what’s being offered, just google it.
Example of “spoon fed me question” would be, “how do I go from A to B?”
instead of asking someone to just give you the answer, ask something like “what would be the best tools I can used to search and figure out how to get from A to B?”
You can easily google and you will learn more than the answer to your question and that’s how you become experts at anything.
