$250 Amex Offer Linky

1. I see the first 2 cards in the promo are cards, and the last 2 are credit cards, what’s the difference between a charge card and a credit card?
A charge card must be paid in full each month, before the next statement is issued. A credit card does not.

2. Can I apply for more than 1 of the cards?
Yes, you can apply for all 4 in fact!

3. If I apply for the $300/year card, will Amex pro-rate the annual fee if I cancel it?
Yes, if you cancel it then the annual fee will be divided over the months you had it. If you apply for the business platinum $300/year card and cancel it after 6 months you will get back $150 for the annual fee, in addition to the $250 you already got.

4. If I already have the delta amex card, I understand that I wont receive the miles as you only get it once but will I receive the 250 dollars???
Yes you will, in fact you may just get lucky and receive the 15,000 miles again-please report back and let me know!!!

5. Why are you pushing this offer so hard, how much is Amex paying you already to promote this deal?
Nada, zilch, not a cent. I figured most people would appreciate the ability to pocket $1,000 but apparently you don’t…

6. Does AMEX combine cards?
You for sure can combine 2 consumer or 2 business cards, i’m not sure if you can combine 1 of each-if anyone has attempted this please post your results!
-Update: A commenter relates that he was successful in getting this done between a personal and business amex card!

if i sighn up for two of the cards tonight, will I get 2 x 250 = $500?

Note fine print – You may be permitted to have more than one American Express® Business Card account; however, you are eligible to receive only one promotional $250 statement credit per unique business. Participation and offers are subject to change without notice.

Dan

They had the same fine print last time and i got $250 for each card.

You can combine personal and business cards as long as the name on your business card (not company name) is the same as on your personal.

I converted $12,000 from my Amex Blue personal onto my new Starwood business card and they had no problem doing that for me.

Keep up the good work Dan

Dan

Thanks for the tip-I know chase and citi dont do that-but its good to know that Amex will!

may I suggest that for each card you name a different business so that each one will get the $250.

citibank does combine cards… I just did it myself

(if you have a AT&T Universal card, or an Associates student card, they will not combine any of those…. basically any card that was not originally citibanks, but was bought, they will not let you combine with a real citi card)

Dan

Of course citi combines cards…
Im talking about combining a consumer and business card.

If I never signed up for any cards before , should I even try since I dont have any credit ,and would it effect my credit if I dont get accepted?
If not this where do I start(the best card )?

Dan

This post should help you start out:
Credit Card Post Roundup Linky
The Starwood card is one of the easiest to get…

While it wont hurt you if you dont get accepted, these cards are harder to get than others so its very unlikely you’ll get one of these as a first card…

are you sure the $250 is for all 4 cards and not only for the Business Gold charge card?

Anonymous

It seems like the $250 credit might be only for the gold and business charge card, as when you clik “learn more” you only see the 250 by the charge cards

Dan

The fine print on the application on each of the cards specifically states the $250 credit.

hey dan
i got a letter from chase today saying that i will only receive 25000 miles on my united account one time although i alreadyt have the second
(darn they caught on i hope citi wont catch on to quick)

Dan

1. I’ve posted my thoughts on that-see the knowledgebase.

2. No

3. Correct me if im wrong, but I dont believe any pull a hard credit check just to convert a card.

Anonymous

if i get $250 back and the annual fee is $300.00 whats the point,

Dan

If you can’t figure that out youre best off passing on this deal…

danny

Chase does pull sometimes.
