Iberia has some very good fares from JFK to Tel Aviv in coach and Premium Economy. The premium economy price includes premium economy seating for the JFK to/from Madrid leg, but not the Madrid to/from Tel Aviv leg.

Iberia’s A350 premium economy is in a 2-4-2 configuration and includes a wider seat with more legroom, more recline, improved bedding, adjustable headrest and footrest, noise cancelling headphones, larger video screen, amenity kit, and more.

The coach fare comes with 1 free checked bag, while the premium economy fare includes 2 free checked bags.

Madrid’s Priority Pass lounge has free kosher meals available upon request and it’s a great city to explore if your layover time allows for it.

In order to find the premium economy fare on Orbitz, you must click on advanced options and select Iberia as your preferred airline:

Dina

any dates in june?

Roberta Rappaport

I just tried Orbitz. The lowest fare I get for Premium Economy within those dates is $1606.

Jack

This deal in premium economy would’ve been enticing had it been offered all the way to TLV. Flying halfway in comfort and the other half in typical economy doesn’t sit well with me. I don’t appreciate changing status midway..

DoB

Does the Priority Pass lounge at MAD allow entry for arriving passengers (who aren’t connecting to onward travel)?

Hershel

Madrid to Tel Aviv is a long flight by European standards so the lack of premium Economy is noticeable. The AZ fare is better value as they provide Business class seating from Rome to Tel Aviv and return. It is European Business, i.e. 3-3 with the middle seat blocked, but the service is much better as is the kosher food. You also get complimentary lounge access in Rome and Tel Aviv. The Tel Aviv lounges, even the new C sleeve lounge are lousy but they do let you avoid the crowded gate areas. BTW they will not let you into the C Lounge with a Priority Pass. They, ha ha, think it is so good that it should be reserved for real Business flyers; you need a C class invitation from the airline to get in. It is very Third World though. Little food choice and very cheap furnishings.
