Mesikus Hatorah was founded in 2010 by Rabbi Shaul Katz, a noted posek and Rosh Chabura at Bais Aharon Bais Medrash. Rabbi Katz saw a need to motivate young men to learn Torah more intensely, and he believed that a financial incentive would be a helpful way to do so.
Mesikus Hatorah has had a positive impact on the learning of Torah enabling thousands to truly experience the sweetness of the Torah!!
In its first year, the program had 100 participants. Today, there are over 5,500 participants, and the program has expanded to include several other Bais Medrash in Lakewood, as well as many Yeshivas and Kollelim.
Its annual budget is over $1,1000,000.00
