I used groupsim on my trip this summer. It worked flawlessly and they were very helpful and accommodating.
I ordered 2 SIM cards for me any my wife they shipped it out the same day. I got it 2 days later in the mail, with clear instructions.. the service was amazing, data was super fast 4G all the time, no dropped calls(I didn’t use my Verizon Travel pass like my past trip i would only get 500 mb of 4G data by Verizon)

500 MB is not a little, and with travel pass you can actually send and receive texts using your regular phone number.
500 MB is very little data that Verizon offers it gets used up very quickly, on top of that Verizon service is on roaming bouncing from one israeli carrier to another. Verizon has an app it’s called “Messaging Plus” for iOS and Android, you can text on that app with your regular phone number so that answers your concerns
