I went to a KWFE in Miami in 2018, LA in 2019, and NYC in 2020. Each of the events featured incredible wines and food and are a great way to meet with winemakers (or airlines) and find new favorite wines.

KWFE 2021 will be a virtual food and wine experience in your own home.
They will sell a limited amount of wine-tasting kits, which will include a carefully curated offering of 25 wines in 100ml bottles (enough for 2-3 sample pours) and a tasting guide featuring detailed information on the wines. You’ll also get recipe cards and shopping lists prepared by the chefs featured during the event.
On Sunday, 2/21 starting at 5:30pm EST, hosts will guide you through tastings and answer questions throughout the evening. You will also be able to watch the video at any time after the event.

IIt’s tough, because obviously its Covid times. However, the experience is truly an experience because it’s a night out of the home with other people. It’s the food, laughter, socializing, drinking….. all which aren’t happening this year. Maybe the organizer can convince me that spending $200+ for airplane sized wine bottles is a worthwhile experience? I’m not in love with cooking, so the cooking videos dont appeal to me personally.
Good point…naturally they won’t have the ‘crowd’ they had hoped for, but I bought the selection (BTW 100ML is much smaller than your average bottle of wine on an airplane)… it’s nice to try 25 new wines without leaving the comfort of your home during COVID..
The social vibe will be missing and unfortunately a webcam can’t replace it…
That’s life, but it doesn’t mean that it can’t be a nice experience. I give them credit for trying!
It looks like the actual event is no cost this year (according to their website). The fee option is if one wants the wine delivered to them. I give them credit for offering the event viewership for free.
im really excited for this. Mrs. is pregnant and now i have a discounted set of small wine shots my wife can enjoy on shabbos without opening a full bottle! i might buy two…

I grabbed one. I don’t know if I’ll drink everything along with them. I might keep a few of them and have them as single glasses on shabbos. It is nice to be able to get sample sizes of bottles I wouldn’t normally buy, I can justify spending $240 to try 25 wines. I would be too scared to buy $100+ bottles because I would be really upset if they didn’t knock my socks off so this is perfect.

Varies by wine, but all Royal Corp wine has top notch hechsheirim.
I wish they would have a $120 option with smaller package included, so I would be able to participate.
