What exactly does “its not about the Daf” mean?
That you don’t have to learn a daf? don’t have to remember it?
What’s the point of doing Daf yomi if theres no daf? To get a free Gemara?

The way I understand it is its about what’s holding motivate you to join daf yomi, the Iron clad commitment to learning every day, not necessarily the attraction being the wonderful shuir that I listen to daily

he says it mostly to encourage those who may have fell behind and missed a few blatt to not immediatly try and make it up , bc then you’ll always be in a spiral of catching up and you’ll be behind more, and then give up. so if you miss a daf write it down somewhere and skip it and pick up the next day. its not about the daf (doing every daf) its about doing the yomi (making sure you learn something every day)

Megillah does not start next week. The 1st daf of Megillah is December 14 (Asarah B’Teves).

ignore the daf and the date, just do the yomi!
