I’m a little unclear – there are tickets being drawn tommorow in addition to the auction on motzei shabbos?

Yes- In order to get early participation they are having a separate 6 tickets to Israel throughout the day today with actual- main prizes-auction Motzei Shabbos Koidesh (as Fiveish says…)

Thanks

Trips to Israel, Succos in Israel….another tone deaf campaign during these COVID times…

ED

Dave, DW, Since you dont want it, if u win, Im sure you’ll gladly give me the trip. Either for this year, or next year, or in the future when E”Y be”h opens up. (btw, there usually is an option for a cash equivalent prize.)

Dave

I actually would want the trip. It would be a shame to lose it because the prize must be redeemed before a certain date; and the foreseeable future I don’t believe I’d even be able to be permitted entry into the country.

To be fair, this annual campaign started years ago. I’m sure many hours were spent among the higher ups discussing whether it should be postponed or if people (kids and adults) need some stability and familiarity in their lives this year.

If anything, realize that the purpose of the auction is to bring in money for their organization and people are more in need of spirituality/kiruv/and connection during these times more than certainly I can remember.

And I’m sure the winners can decide if they want a payout instead.

Stay well!

The Oorahthon on Motzei Shabbos is always exciting. I wonder what they are planning or this year with social distancing…
