The Math explained in 4 easy steps:
1) Every ticket has 12 entries – 1 per month.
2) Each ticket can only win once – (only 1 of the 12 entries can win)
3) Over 12 months 12 tickets (not entries) will win.
4) 12 out of 3,500 = 1 in 292 odds
Please note many people are making the mistake and looking at an individual month for the odds of winning. So for example if you want to win in January than you have to multiply your odds of winning by 12, because you have now added the specific month to the equation. That would be odds of 1 in 3,500.
A simple example if You are pulling 12 tickets of 3,500 in one evening your odds are 1 in 292, but if you say you want to be the 4th draw well than you have to add that to the equation and your odds are now 1 in 3496
Since we are looking at your odds of winning over 12 months we are not taking a specific month into the equation and your odds are 1 in 292.
So based on that, it’s mean that you didn’t sell 3500 yet !?!? So how many did you actually sell as of today ?
Incorrect math. The odds of flipping a coin and getting a head is 1/2. If you flip the coin twice, the odds of getting one head is NOT 1/2 plus 1/2. The odds of getting at least one head is 3 out of 4.
