To be clear, you need to have Apple Carplay or Android Auto already available in your car. This makes it wireless.

I paid double that for mine. We have wired only Apple CarPlay in our car. For short trips, it wasn’t always feasible to plug it in. Also, when you use wired Apple CarPlay – you are stuck with the low rate of phone charging that the car has. Is this perfect? No. Would I buy it again? Yes.
As opposed to the power rate of charging you have when you leave it in your pocket??

Get an android phone and be happy, they’re better anyway.
Looks like a great idea, I’d buy it in a heartbeat, unfortunately I have a Volvo which the product website doesn’t recommend.
