This sounds VERY shady. I’ve seen this add a year ago, and it seems that NO ONE won yet. Also, according to Israeli law this whole raffle seems illegal. I don’t understand why Dan is letting thee guys post their ad here.

Mac, I agree it might appear shady but I believe there was a legitimate winner last year. I do recall the raffle being pushed off several occurrences over the course of several months, but eventually there was a declared winner. With that said, I’d recommend giving tzedaka because *YOU* believe it is a worthy charity doing good work for others– and NOT because of a raffle of an apartment, car, money, vacation. I am far from righteous, but never in my life have a given tzedaka because I liked the raffle or prize. There are plenty of Tomchei Shabbos organizations, yeshivas, mikvahs, etc which have no raffle prizes, but are certainly worth while considering. If you admire the work of Am Yisrael Chai Foundation, then give. If you are looking to win big, buy a Megaball Lotto ticket.
