Throughout the Covid pandemic, Israel has changed its rules of entry more times than anyone can remember. The past two years have been a time of great uncertainty for Jews worldwide seeking to enter the Holy Land. Whether it be for medical emergencies, yahrzeits, or for happier occasions such as births of grandchildren, travelers have been stymied at every turn. There has been one source of factual information and assistance that has been the address for us all during these challenging times: Chaim V’Chessed.

Chaim V’Chessed advocates on behalf of the English speaking community in Israel, day in and day out. It’s staff of 21 members provides services in Medical, Hospital, Special Ed, Bureaucratic and many more areas.  And that’s in addition to Chaim V’Chessed’s services in travel and corona related issues.

Now Chaim V’Chessed needs US. It has launched a ONE MILLION DOLLAR campaign to help grow its services and continue to meet the needs of our community.

Please donate generously to the campaign today by clicking here.

sad truth

For those who are complaining about the headline-
They literally write in the same sentence “How many times have you seen this in the last 2 years”?
Implying that this occurs very often…
And they are correct..
This is an organization that works day and night helping Americans in Israel as well as advocating for the thousands of American Seminary girls and Yeshiva boys who are trying to gain entry into Israel since Corona started…
They DO NOT CHARGE ONE PENNY FOR THEIR SERVICES..
They are asking for donations to offset their costs of renting an office and paying a minimal salary for the expert services their dedicated employees provide..
If you choose not to donate, that’s fine. But no need to come on and comment with negativity.

pffff

So you’re ignoring the first part of the headline, where they state “breaking news” when there is none, in order to trick you into clicking?

Defend the Emes!

5 Defenses:
1. The post begins with the word “Ad”.
2. It has written Advertisement as well in a black box in white lettering.
3. It also is clearly written that “this is a sponsored post etc.”
4. The regulars on Dansdeals know that the first post or 2 are always ads (though that is subject to change when it gets bumped down.
5. Also all of the Israel Corona updates have a post with a picture of the Kosel!

Chaim V’Chessed does exactly what their namesake is. I lived in yerusahlayim for 5 years while learning in Kollel, they do incredible things! One of many personal examples I wittnessed: A relative who was in Yeshiva fell down and the doctors were uncertain if he needed an operation due to a dislocated and fractured shoulder Erev Yom Tov, he needed a second opinion from a specialist and of course the hospitals MRI and X-Ray department was closed for 4 days and there was no way to access the record. Chaim V’Chessed comes to the rescue and requested for him to sign a medical release waiver and had the hospital staff retrieve the record and sent it with a staff member an hour and a half each way to the specialist in his home to review it while it was the Second day of Yom Tov for this American Bachur. As soon as Yom Tov was over they contacted him and shared the delightful news that he won’t need a complicated operation! They didn’t ask for a penny!!!
He thought he would have to pick up the record and travel the day after Yom Tov and was not expecting them to go ahead unrequested to expedite the proccess!!!!! He was so greatfull!

@safe agreed

Dave

I like transparency. What’s your relationship to the business?

What business?

Perhaps a recipient of their chessed?

mark n

People comment on how THEY felt when they were solicited this way. That is precisely what the comments are for!

mark n

Shame. If they just asked for a donation i would have given. Being deceitful tells you that although they no doubt do much good and should be supported they lack integrity

Laya

You/anybody you know should never need them

Gela

Please change the subject. I have travel plans for tomorrow and this really scared me!

Laya

And if g-d forbid u need help with anything when ur there (ie need a Dr or other help that anglo speaker have trouble with) guess who u’ll call…..
I was there 2 years ago for a vacation and my 1 year old baby ended up in the hospital for 6 days. It would have been gehenom without this organization.
