British Airways is having an excellent first class sale from Tel Aviv to NYC via London. Adults are just $2,917 round-trip and kids under 12 are just $2,309 round-trip.

This BA A class fare will earn a whopping 250% elite miles and 450% redeemable miles when credited to Alaska (500% if you have Alaska MVP, 550% if you have MVP Gold, or 575% if you have MVP Gold 75K). That means someone flying from Tel Aviv to JFK round-trip without elite status on Alaska will earn 28,420 Alaska elite qualifying miles, enough to earn Alaska MVP status! They’ll also earn 51,156 redeemable Alaska miles. That’s enough for a round-trip business class ticket on Cathay Pacific from JFK to Vancouver or a one-way business class ticket on Cathay Pacific to Asia!

The BA first class hard product isn’t quite on par with the top first class cabins in the world, but the kosher food in their London lounges and on their flights from London is second to none.

Until December you can find short connections, but starting with the launch of one daily A350 in December you’ll have to overnight in London to be in first class.

Dan , is there any disadvantage of making sfamily pull combined acount on British airways vs having an account for each family individually?

BA

Thank you Dan! Your the best!
If someone were to do this, is it worth doing a status match to Alaska first?

Jweish weirdo

Also bookable on amextravel, so should be possible to redeem amex bp points at 35% back. Making this an first class RT for as little as 150,085 mr points, plus get 51k alaska points and mvps status.

Afe

What if i credit the points to BA?

Dan: Can you please link the earnings chart. I have MVP Gold 75k status. Will I earn more EQMs? Should be ~65k redeemable miles. Or am I totally off base.

Dan any way to book past december a mixed class ticket on 1 booking bc then the stopover wont be so long in London. To do first to LHR and business to tlv with a350? Wud it help to book the first ticket all the way thru to tlv and with the stopover and then calling and asking to downgrade to business and get the shorter layover

Charles

Any way to start in NY and return to NY ??

Glushtygiz

Its only with flights originating in London that they have hermolis? Also what if I reach mvp after only the first segment does the next flight get me the higher miles earned?
