I tried this earlier today. It did not work and I don’t have a prepaid cell
If it’s a store coupon then it reduces the selling price, so the tax is calculated on that “after coupon” price (in this case: zero). When it’s a manufacturer’s coupon then sales tax is calculated on the “before tax” price, and the coupon is like a form if payment.

Tried it at my local 7 eleven & it did not work. The cashier tried to scan it & it did not scan so i was charged full price
just sent the text today and it says coupon has expired. guess you had to send the text by may 7 or 8 to get the coupon.
