I like pickles. Pickles are good. But I’m not anywhere near a 711. Won’t make it there in 20 min

Mindy

Oh, never mind, I have time- gotta go find a 711

No workie at Lakewood 7 11

Dan

@Marks:
Why not?
Complain to corporate.

Anonymous

@Dan: He said: My boss told me not to do it.

I told him that’s bad business but he insisted.

Dan

@Anonymous:
Makes me wonder who pays for these campaigns. Is the entire onus on the store without any share from corp?

Joe

@Dan:
Nope. 7-11 is a profit share franchise. Corporate definitely has a share. My best guess is that corporate reimburses the franchise for the coupon and then shares in the profit.

@Joe:
Then why reject a coupon?

Thenewguy

@Dan: well, would it surprise you if ANY Lakewood franchise store had to follow the typical rules?

Mark

I tweeted 7-Eleven who responsed and took down my info. They had a store rep from LKWD call me who explained that people have been coming in with pics (and even videos) of coupons without actually having the app on their phones.

I told him that the employee could have very simply verified that it was an app on my phone and not just a pic or video.

He asked me to update corporate that it’s ‘resolved’. Hopefully now they’ll think twice before blatantly refusing to honor their coupons.

Mark

Corporate said that the explanation doesn’t really make sense since when the employee scans the coupon the system checks to make sure the limited amount hasn’t yet been exceeded.

They said they’ll work on educating their employees…
